50 crores is a lot of money for a romcom, in fact it's actually just the right amount. Anything more than that is just excessive splurging (e.g. TJMK with 180 crore budget is ridiculous beyond belief).

Some directors and producers are reeeeeally good at wisely spending money. Adipurush was made on a budget of 500-700 crore and every person is left scratching their heads thinking: where tf did all that money go because it certainly wasn't on the shitty vfx. In Hollywood, The Maze Runner was made on a budget of only $30 million yet it looks like it was made with a $100 million budget. Some people are great at doing more with less.

Madock productions have so many hits coz they are always very sensible with budgets..even stree was just 30cr..it is not surprising that this one is 50cr..no way they would spend more

Stree was more or less made on one set, plus they had actors who don't have big fees, in TBMAUJ they had foreign locations shoot, big dance numbers, vfx with all the robots and technology they showed, plus shahid and kriti in the leads so their fees, then there were the extensive promotions they did, and all that in just 50 crores? 

Congrats Kirti for a genuine success after Housefull 4!
