Zaid’s not leaving her until she dies (fastest route to the end) or leaves him (additional Ayra centric 4 episodes 🤦🏻‍♀️)

also something has to happen na for Zaid vs Asif to happen. For Asif to finally get punished. For MJ’s love to get tested etc. Ayra’s death achieves all 3

Maybe that’s part of Zaid’s growth…stop letting guilt dictate his actions. Maybe Ayra will have mentally moved on too and realized she can’t be part of this family.

His ‘mein’ is his guilt .Even Asif mentioned to Kashmala that Zaid must always be kept in guilt. Letting go of Ayra would be ending his ‘mein’.

Sukoon and Khumar.

They literally did nothing to add Zaid’s personality to his room. Nothing. Whereas 7th sky and the directors in Khumar and Sukoon added little trinkets here n there, family photographs, opened the WINDOW - I didn’t even realize the room had that big window! And the arrangement of the furniture adds a different vibe.

Big bang and Badar just do the absolute bare minimum 🤦🏻‍♀️ I mean, when Zaid gets back to his room after his wedding with MJ there weren’t even any flowers or bouquets for the poor groom 😂 No indication that this was supposed to be a wedding room that night! 😡

Yes, critics were pointing out so many deficits because they rushed this drama...it was a good concept, yet should have thought this out and planned it well...instead it looks a little too disconnected with too much screen space for some actors.

Ayra and Asif are two pillars to this story, no doubt- but they should have evenly distributed the show between the leads- I'm taking the liberty to call Asif also a lead in a sense because he's the one driving the drama. 🤭

Idk he’s promised her too much. Reassured her too much. Plus it’s love and guilt both. And he married her to protect her. If he leaves her it compromises his character a lot - audience won’t forgive that - so the commitment and loyalty at his end has to stand.

Maybe Ayra can “accidentally” kill Asif lol. He’s gone. She ends up in jail. And MJ can spend the rest of her life consoling a shocked and broken Zaid lol

I'm not banking on bpd at all, MJ would have grown by leaps by the end of this, she won't need a bpd excuse at all? Zaid is never going to ask her why she's like this na. He enjoys accepting her as well as questioning her in some aspects. That's their dynamics.

The only way I'd want some indication of her getting help would be for Zaid to realise she has taken pains to change herself for him ...I don't think we are even getting that.

Interestingly this same thing has happened with 22 qadam too. There are 4 major characters and Wahaj as Junaid is one of them. He even has a love triangle there with the 2 other characters, Fari and Lisa. But the key difference here is that 22 qadam was never marketed as a romance of Fari and Junaid. But as a coming of age story and about the cricket dream. It’s exactly like Mein in its format - in terms of love triangle and having 4 characters sharing screen time with their own arcs.

The reason 22 qadam didn’t face any backlash was that they advertised it right and Mein didn’t. So it’s all about the expectations thing

There was a time when Wahaj used to follow and follow back a lot of people including every fanpage there was of him. His social media activity has visibly changed since a few months. 22 Qadam was for a couple of years in the making and that's when he followed Hareem. I noticed during promotions of Jurm, Dur e followed him like twice-thrice to sort of like get a follow back but he didn't. Now he hardly follows any of his colleagues from the new projects he does. I guess going forward he only wants to follow those with whom he has an actual rapport or whatever.

I remember seeing Hareem interview with SH in 2022 (this is pre Tere Bin and all). Based on that iv, it seemed obvious that Wahaj is a secondary cktr. That it is ultimately the story of Fari and the girls' cricket team. As a supporting cktr, wahaj had a very nice arc and margin to perform, but he was not THE lead. SH also talked about it later.

When 22Q promotion started they did try to sell Wahaj as a lead. I heard in the beginning, only Hareem was supposed to be in the posters/promos not Wahaj but because of Tere Bin success they added him. Because of their marketing, 10 million saw E1 of 22Qadam but were left so disappointed because Wahaj was in E1 for a flash and does not appear until middle of E2. Many people understood that wahaj will not be THE lead and you will see a huge drop-off in views between E1 and E2.
