just two things i noticed

a. he has let his beard grow..too much

I don't think it's too deep it's just they don't have media training. Only if she would have said some like--

It would have sounded better.

In my humble opinion every actor be it Bollywood, Hollywood or PTV, in an interview they praise themselves however their way of saying it is not so direct.

That’s true. It’s the choice of words maybe others praise themselves but it just does not seem like right into the face so sometimes you just go along with it. But here it’s just seems that she really tries a lot to be liked which annoys me. It’s not only in that interview.
