This is a old housing society block in Mumbai set as backdrop in KMTMG, where most residents are supposedly working middle class.

A much older man owning & living in one of the flats for so many years with his Maharastrian family, after 30 years of marriage suddenly has brought a much younger rich unmarried working GF to live in with him, where as his wife & two adult children got thrown out overnight from that flat. This man isn't yet legally divorced.

NOT a murmur on that man or cheap comments against that girl within building society got shown to viewers. (other than Jahan aunty being angry & vocal). This is such an open & accommodating society, people are so cool about EMA.

Is KMTMG story set in India or west?

Read a comment on twitter that story should focus more on Amruta/Bhavani struggles and not on AmVira so early. I wonder if it can be true since Amruta and her mother have good chemistry/compatibility/relationship, viewers might be expecting more of their scenes

For new fiction shows TRP's may have least to do with quality.

Its about marketing, channel distribution base, promos first then comes key characters establishment, pace of the plots, concept, emotional connect, relatable factors that attract viewers initially, much beyond the hype of popular star cast.

Here entire Ahuja & Shekavat family is so OTT, even casting & performance is not so impressive along with PA Shekar.Chitnis family has some connect though, with relatability but yet to be used properly.

Also how many Zee viewers actually knew that KMTMG aired even on Dec1st & 2nd i.e. last sat & sun?btw was time slot counted from 10pm to 10.30pm or 10.15pm to 10.45pm for BARC weekly data collection as KMTMG wasn't airing sharp at 10pm.

Kind of true. For me, Virat-Amruta scenes are fine and going well. Was too early and could've taken some more days, if not weeks, to get here. Since week 2 i find if we remove these scenes, there isnt much worth watching. can ff most of the rest.

Surely, Amruta-Bhavani scenes are good and should be given due importance. Can have more of it. Ahuja family... I dont like the acting there yet. May be concentrate on divorce of Bhavani a bit - does she need the symbols of being married? Can Amruta help her move on?

Seems like they are jumping to Nimrit's engagement scenes - which will be odd if it is on the current day, since they didnt mention anything about the engagement in the previous episodes.

On a serious note, Virat will come to know about Rajeev for sure. His sis wedding should def not happen and will thanks Amu for that (I guess so) phir dosti joh pyaar mein badlegi.

The writer needs to do immediate damage control, focus on the Chitnis side of the story, bring in some past FBs showing frustration from Jayesh point of view about Bhavani being so old fashioned and his attempts at trying to change her and failing and hence starting his EMA with Ishika, something for us to believe that Amruta's dad is not so bad as they had portrayed so suddenly. (still EMA is not right and acceptable) showing Jayesh in bad light at the very start of the show when people are expecting some good family story starting from the Chitnis side at least for a month or two

The aunt of Virat is not needed at all, her open mouthed reactions will surely repel viewers and already the Ahuja side of the family is not strong for us to connect. Dadi should be shown with some kindness for us to believe that Virat loves his grandma because of her kind soul with some strong values and not because she is gloating in her wealth

There seems to be a AmVira dance sequence coming up which is again far too early to be shown

Many female viewers, young and old appreciate Sriti's portrayal of a woman in struggle and fighting back but not her romantic story so early

Sriti might have given media interviews how Amruta is not like Pragya, as per her Pragya was more shy & not outspoken like Amruta.

But for many Zee & KKB viewers who started watching KMTMG, Sriti's styling & looks onscreen (minus chashma) as Amruta, this suddenly pushing in showing Amruta's helplessness, family & financial stress, her crying, begging, her sacrifices for family, her humiliations & harassment's in recent episodes tend to remind us of past Pragya.

Added it was quite rushed & unnecessary to show a drunk Amruta within third week of KMTMG's launch, along with a promo around it.. frankly the way drunk Amruta walked, talked, behaved, slipped, demanded, lost her senses, made silly antics reminded so much of KKB's drunk Pragya.

Then already quickly forced trips, falls, catches & lifts with eye locks of leads are being shown in KMTMG right from first week, which can again remind viewers so much of Abhigya.

Here, the more viewers get reminded of Pragya seeing Sriti onscreen as Amruta feel it can possibly do more harm to this show as along with Pragya they will also get instantly reminded of RS Abhi whom they will miss seeing with her onscreen, so it can be detrimental for Arjit to get compared with the caliber, screen presence, talent power, voice modulation skills, romanticism of an experienced star like Shabir, plus a well developed flamboyant, arrogant, lovable cum irksome character like RS Abhi.

Reality is most TV viewers acceptance & connect to OTT Ahuja's in KMTMG is still low, along with lead character of Virat till now. (let's keep aside that overly social media hype & fanism)

Family - particularly his - is too complicated. Dont think they will go for all is well during the wedding too. Likely to have something to do with his sister's wedding. Virat will come to know through Amruta that Rajeev is not worth it. His family may hate him for siding with Amruta - rather would believe in Rajeev's innocence. May have something to do with Shekhar confessing he likes Nimrit. Virat may get married to Amruta nevertheless - perhaps another alliance forms the trigger for his decision. Can only hope they dont bring in a third angle in between.

Ep 19 focused on the Ahuja's. While that's good, an odd thing is its probably only an hour after she left but she walks in to a home that is almost completely decorated for a function - engagement as mentioned in the title (but had a Punjabi name in the dialogues). Also something that i dont remember was talked about before - so we walk into an engagement without having a clue. [Hmm... Nani talked about it in the final moments of the last ep.]

A bad thing in focusing on the Ahuja's was it was kind of boring - their portions continue to be unimpressive.. but did feel there are less forced dialogues of Babita proclaiming how rich they are.

Ahuja's preferred bride for Virat makes an entry - Sanjana... the girl on pic shown to the Guruji when he made a visit. Doesn't look like she will be the third wheel... but if she is, it will be really bad acting. Mostly (and hopefully) a temp role.

Good moments between Amruta, Virat, and Shekhar. Liked what Virat did to help her. Ammu continues to give back to Ahuja's as and when required. Those are probably the only good moments... rest was kind of boring (for me).
