20 minutes in and I'm wondering why this movie was made?

Zoya took something that is not a cultural phenomenon in india and didn't even bother adapting it to local aesthetics... for every two hindi Dialogues there are three English ones... the jokes are lifted straight from the comics and don't feel natural at all ..

.. on top of that they randomly break out in songs like Hollywood musicals but the songs are absolutely pathetic..... just stop with the damn songs

who exactly is your target audience??? ......my mom who has never heard of Archie's can't even understand what's happening... I'm just watching it bec of srk but the movie sucks

All the nepo "kids" are bad... like really bad... They all need 200 hours of diction training... acting toh dooor ki baat hai..... mumbling... just mumbling with huge smiles

How do each batch of nepo kids manage to be worse than the previous ones... suhana, khushi, agatsya manage to make ananya, jhanvi, sara look like thespians

I still don't understand why shah thought that THIS should be suhanas debut

I didn’t hate it. It’s good timepass and I also liked Vedang, Khushi. Alia’s first movie was SOTy so don’t know how’s this worse than that.

I think Shahrukh must have expected this flak no matter what way Suhana got launched. Theatrical release with a full on commercial movie with Chopra/Johar would have exposed Suhana's shortcomings even more. She doesn't stand out, ain't a good actress or conventionally pretty. This Netflix release was to ease her reception slowly for public and kind of 'practice movie' for Suhana. But God knows what Zoya was thinking.

If that was the case then it would have been better to have suhana as one of the girls in jawaan.. A small role on who the entire movie doesn't hinge on...

... Either you are good enough to stand out despite a bad movie or the movie is so good that it overshadows the weak acting.. At least kjo soty series styled and marketed the movies well... This one looked like a disaster from the promos itself

But why is there such less hype for khushi?Even people within industry are not working to manufacture hype like it's always done for other star kids.She is not srk's daughter but she is still Sridevi's daughter.

Now that we know Jawan was a super duper hit, it does seem like an idea they could have explored. But it might have looked risky before nobody knew how the reception was going to be. Or it wasn't even discussed. And as discussed previously, these nepos don't want to settle for small roles. They don't have what it takes to make an impact despite the length of their roles. KJo is already badnam and disliked for his love for industry's inner circle. Choosing him would be an open invitation for hate.

All in all, I think Netflix release was the safest launchpad for Suhana. But Zoya did the damage beyond expected. How no one realized during the making itself that the movie was going down the drains is a joke. I mean Khans, Kapoors, Bachchans & Akhtars were involved here.

The fact is, Sridevi is no more & Boney is not good financially. He has 4 kids to support & 3 of them are struggling. No idea about Anshula. Why would anyone take the risk of hyping Khushi and invite the irritation of mighty Khan & resourceful Bachchan?

Everything aside..SRK should've called out the miscasting. Letting kids take their own decisions and learning from failures is all fine..but as n actor, as a producer, businessman and a viewer..how couldn't he see that with all his experience! Why let ur baby be subjected to this

Netflix release was a good idea. Doing it with Archies was bad. And Jo kami reh gayi this, wo Zoya ne puri kar di. But seeing Suhana's range and lackluster presence, I doubt how she would be perceived by janata in any other movie as well.

Shahrukh Khan should have foreseen this, but himself made Zero & selected Imtiaz's JHMT. Hota he.

They all made a bad decision and Zoya made it worse.
