I don't get why popular jodis are not repeated in itv. If it had been some other industry, people would have milked them to the fullest by giving them other projects and not necessarily acting ones only. Bollywood does it so much. So many iconic jodis have been created over the years and a lot of times the whole movie just banks on their popularity only. Itv wale kuch alag hi hain. Personally I would love them both in another show with contemporary office setting. They don't have to continue this and I don't think they even want to, but another completely different storyline would be great to see.

I remember while growing up I was so obsessed over with one jodi, it was ekta's show kahin to hoga and I was so mesmerized by sujal - kashish jodi (rajeev khandelwal and aamna sharif)

They were so popular back then that they even starred in some ad commercials together but sadly they didn't come together for any other projects.

I don't know what itv makers think about repeating jodi. If they think it will look repetitive then its not a genuine reason because every other itv show is repetitive content wise so why not repeat jodi also.

These days season 2 of popular show are so common so why don't they repeat popular jodis and come with multiple seasons instead of launching different shows every 3-4 months.

@underlined, can you just stop blaming audience if it doesn't suit your opinion? Audience never justified ONS but that doesn't mean audience need to shut their keyboard if Katha keeps doing mistake and we should forgive her because of Viaans one mistake. Stop doing same chanting in every post.

This story's theme was ONS, redemption, falling in love. 1st promos cleared it. Kangana type feminist shouldn't have watched it after watching rooms. Creatives never mislead with Viaans love.

Isn't the story is also about how ONS keep affecting their love life especially FL (Katha). So far Katha has done mistake only at the end. In OG FL keep using ONS as an excuse. Whereas here Katha never used ONS (if you forget Shamita case where she immediately retreat).

And all other shows are only 0.3. Just explain how Katha was so unprofitable there had to be slot change first followed by abrupt axing

But every sony show gets this kind of trp.

Except from reality shows I dont think any show crosses trp of 1

So its not like katha ankahee did exceptionally bad, it was like other sony ahows only.

I think this is sony's channel's strategy bring new shows every two three months and then axe them after few months. We should be thankful that KA lasted atleast for a year.

This channel needs to revamp its management because whoever are sitting there are absolutely fools. This channel doesn't promote their shows, they dont listen to popular demands of viewers, they keep changing time slots, they end it abruptly.

Agar itna hi short length wala shows pasand hai to they should adopt Western concept of limited episodes but multiple seasons every year. Atleast it would make more sense than abruptly ending a show.

Didn't we ask to give ONS trauma centric track? I think 90% audience asked for it, kept messaging them. I didn't like how they comfortably hugged, touched in one go without any hesitation, embarrassment. It's writers fault, they brought Maya, 3rd angel, illogical stupid jerk Katha instead of those important ONS centric tracks.

But you can't blame audience for last 40 episode, Katha was totally jerk. If one can't defend this jerk then audience is this, that. What's this!!!

I didn't like how Aditi discriminated audience between elite and masses, no one talked about it. I thought we are over class discrimination. Then if anyone disagrees then audience is this that starts.

Its my theory but, it matches with the observation.

Look at all the new shows of Sony - Kavya, Barsaatein and Dabangii. All three of them have high voltage and OTT dramas just like every other ITV show. Barsaatein and Kavya has love angle problem. Essentially, sony is following the footsteps of other channels and produce for ITV audience.

And, look at the way sony is advertising. It is reminiscent of zee tv shows where leads of one show advertise other shows and Mahasaptah and stuff. Arya from dabangii advertising for Kavya and Barsaatein. Not only that, sony lured Ekta to write Barsaatein for Sony and brought Sumbul who is from the popular SP show imlie. Completely capitalizing on the popularity of characters only instead of storyline.

Now, they are releasing Ramayana which will yet again attract the religious audience of ITV. A major portion of ITV audience is religious.

Out of all this, Katha is an exception to rest of ITV in every angle possible. Sony is just trying to homogenize and mingle with rest of ITV. They want to remove KA and instead introduce some other show with plot similar to rest of ITV and focus on TRPs. Audience of KA is entirely different from the rest of the shows.

Earlier, I was skeptical of the fact channel ruined this show and thought writers were responsible for the mess not channel but, seeing the latest development and how sony is marketing, I am now sure they forced hands of writers to write a leap and involve a third angle and involve Manish Raisinghania and capitalize on his popularity. This clearly failed and they axed the show.

If there's a strategy by Sony, I don't really see it. I feel they are just failing in every way- whether attracting the masses or a niche audience. How, and most importantly why they want to bring shows like other channels, when many people prefer it for it for their niche content is beyond my comprehension. Don't understand what they are trying to achieve. I mean some shows on channela like Dangal or the likes have trps of 1 or more. Here even the reality shows are 0.6-0.7. And these are pretty popular reality shows too. They should try to understand where they're lacking instead of axing shows left, right and centre. Or simply stop worrying about the trps and let the shows run their course. Crime Patrol is 0.1 even after playing whole day on the channel

Because they needed space to build doctor's home and so something had to go. EC nhi tod sakte aur Viaan ka ghar nhi tod sakte to Katha ka hi bacha. Isliye bechari ko shaadi karni padi. It was purely a compromise to keep a roof over their heads. I sympathise with her

It's probably something to do with overexposure. Normal itv shows run for years and years on end, if the same cast is brought again people would get bored eventually, and the jodi card would lose it's value. I think even the actors would want to try working with others to prevent stereotyping. But katha only ran for like a year, so there was no chance of overexposure. Aditi and Adnan can come back again after a couple years break. Coming back with subsequent seasons should be the way to go, honestly. That's how it happens all over the world. It's just our stupid industry where people try to make records for longest running television shows even if it means people got bored to death a decade ago

I feel ONS effect should be more mental than physical. In that respect Katha falling of love is too soon (considering she started showing sign after lonavala).

I didn't like how Katha never remember ONS for even a sec after that. For me I remember best and worst of each person. So I can't related how can someone easily forget and move on. May be more positive enthusiast person can say if they get affected by bad experience with a person.

For touch, Viaan was always conscious about touch around Katha. It was Katha who keep coming close to Viaan. 1 or 2 time Katha stop herself from hugging Viaan. 1 time she quickly moved his hand when he saved her from accident.

I feel once love is happen/confessed, one should leave their ugly fights and should not effect. So in that way it make sense to get in touch/hug.
