Aishwarya there is disappointing. I didn't realize Karan and Vivek are in the background too. I don't think I've seen Aishwarya and Vivek snapped in the same photo in years.

Funny thing is if Bollywood had the guts to stand up for themselves and provide an artistic counterculture, they would fare much better than they do now but whatever. The world is in the dumpster anyway. They cannot stand up for each other, and they will stand up for anyone else, lol.

I already wrote that celebs without an official backing (like being UNICEF ambassador) should not speak openly...speaking will help nobody...there are only very mighty people (politicians, industrialists, financiers etc.) and mighty organisations who could have an influence on forcing a ceasefire and negotiations.

Basically, it's a matter of money and power...

What was that show about again? I remember hearing about it but don't remember why there was backlash.

Something interesting is that her husband or in-laws are not in the list. So I give her props for perhaps departing from their views.

So the premise was something like Shark tank but for community-level organisers, I guess.

I remember that now. I think Priyanka got some flack for trying to appear involved in American social issues that people felt she would have little understanding of.

I must say that seeing so much of Bollywood support Israel makes me feel guilty for trashing Priyanka in this thread regardless of her motives. Maybe some good came from her going to America after all because I could not say with 100% certainty that she wouldn't be in that pic/video if she was still in Bollywood.

It is very disappointing no matter what crimes a person has committed, if that person has power and money Bollywood celebs will be sucking up to that person and taking pictures with them. It is a good thing Epstein had no interest in bollywood, otherwise we would see a bunch of pictures with him and bollywood celebs. There is no moral conscience in any of them.

She has been pretty fearless even in the past despite all her bs.

Speaking may not have much power to directly help but it can spread awareness. For celebrity stans and worshippers, it can cause them to rethink and listen to the celeb and even one more converted heart can be a boon.

I don't see anything wrong with celebs speaking out. Ideally they can do more but even silence can be devastating and make the "moral majority" think they are truly the majority.

Thanks for bringing the tea @IAmLuvBolly I was clueless of Bollywood being pro Israel. I guess in a way this might explain Priyanka's silence.
