the show was fun to watch with lot of family drama but season 1 lead was never separated season 2 started this toxicity and s3 become expert on this

I've been an OG YRKKH viewer, on and off, since it came out but I'm not particular about the main leads being together, especially not this gen because the character sketch and arc is terrible.

All the love YRKHH received for Gen 1 and Gen 2 had been undone by Gen 3.

The whole Kasauli arc brought freshness back to the show, brought more eyeballs. People were actually happy for the female lead getting a good man, another man. In all the past seasons and gens, this didn't happen. People didn't hate the ML enough for it to happen. That's where DKP completely lost this season.

For someone who tuned in partly for the legacy, partly for Harshad... I was left feeling all kinds of second hand embarrassment watching him do some of the things he did. Especially when the man had been doing some find work in his past two shows. Now that's some acting.

I liked Abhimanyu maybe for the first week. I loved his devotion to his mother and hatred for his father. For me it was a sign he would never treat his SO badly under any circumstance. But one could see the red flags from the very start too. There was emotional manipulation, there was so much 'pressure'.. The power balance was off.

After that, the show reduced itself to a meme. From the proposal to the wedding to those dances, while divorcing each other multiple times... Just unbelievable and unbearable. I know why Harshad is and still doing the show but man, as an artist he does deserve better work since he's one of ITV best actors. Abhimanyu Birla actually undid a lot of his skills as an actor.

Anyway, khatam karo is right. Hopefully they will learn from the disaster that's been Gen 3 and make their heroes behave much more like green flag heroes and heroines have actual spine and stand up to nonsense from the start.

I personally don't like most ITV and never liked rista much either. I tuned in partly for s1 and s2 during the love story part, but quickly lost interest after marriage cause the tracks after that are usually boring.

This is the first time I have continued to be invested in the story after marriage too and it's entirely because of Abhira and how strong their bond was from the beginning. They were shown as being two people who were entirely alone in their respective families and they found that connection and bond with each other. I honestly didn't have much of an issue with their cute romance scenes and they were at times funny ofc, but that was the charm. It's supposed to be entertaining and funny along with being deep and meaningful.

Ofc they ruined everything. The story and the characters had so much potential and now they are just shadows of their former personalities with Ak esp becoming someone completely different.

But Abhi has to be the best and most complex character of HC so far. He can show both anger and love in equal measure. Abhi's emotions are what make this show so special and I know a lot of people agree with me on that. HC has a lot of good roles under his belt, but the depth of Abhi is what makes this role so good.

As to Nav and his character, it's just plain boring. The track after the leap has been expected and boring and they have tried to spice it up with Navra romance but it's clearly not working for anyone. From the moment Abhi won custody, Abhira reunion is on the cards. Otherwise they would have made Navra win custody and Abhi exit the show. Their flipping between the two ships is what has made the show unbearable. Because they never committed to Navra completely they didn't show us their romance as they should have. Now they expect us to forget their half baked attempts and go back to rooting for Abhira, which is frankly impossible.

Totally Agree

Abhimanyu is the best character played by HC to date

I have a record of leaving all HC's shows in mid but only because of ABHI am still stuck to this show

You can love him You can hate him but you can't ignore him that's Dr. Abhimanyu Birla

A lot of this is opinion so not much to say. For me cringe is cringe is cringe. Not cute, deep or meaningful. It looked embarrassing and down right funny, not fun..even serious scenes. No wonder every single one of them became memes on social media.

Completely disagree on this part. Abhimanyu Birla is nothing complex. Harshad’s OTT acting doesnt help matters either.

Abhira was always on the cards. That's why they retained Harshad even after leap. Otherwise there's no current trend to retain old ML along with the new one. It's only when one quits, they bring in the new one and phase the former out. Since that never happened, it was quite obvious that Abhira reunion was happening from the start and Abhinav was gonna die. The question for both wasn't never 'if', it was always 'when’.

P.S. Post edited by YRKKH DT to remove references to characters outside the show YRKKH and abide by IF COC.

Yep yep! Exactly. I also feel like HC has matured as an actor and done his best in this role in particular. Abhi is amazing with his emotional clarity. Plus Abhi does a lot more with managing all the relationships and even evolving the character to be more stable as time goes on.

Harshad is a good actor. But Abhimanyu Birla will always remain his weakest character both in terms of writing and performance

I don't even understand what happened to him. He has been so awful in this show

I agree each and every word of yours. The plots from the beginning were very childish. And many of us like HC specially in serious emotional scenes but whenever we hear that the character arc of AbhiM was fantastic and he has shown maturity and growth,I find it very hard to ack. He was given one of the worst character arcs of a ML and that too portrayed by an established good actor.

The Gen 3 had a lot of potential. It still does. I hope he continues the show post Gen 3. Because why not? The producer has people who don't even like the lead characters watching and commenting daily. He can do it again with a new cast.

Also, makers and the channel don't care about fans or their feelings. It's numbers that determined the outcome and TRPs are determined by the drama. No one actor or ship is solely responsible for anything. It's the story that runs the show on ITV. To me, the Akshara-Abhinav angle was never an option. When you have to butcher every character on the show to make one character relevant then it's over. Abhinav is basically a walking Mary Sue trope. It didn't help that the makers started using reboots of Abhira scenes on them either lol.

Yeah I don’t get some fans who say it’s the actors who bring TRP. Harshad himself always in interviews goes like we actors don’t have to worry about TRPs as that’s the makers job since they are writing the story. Recently I saw articles by Telly express saying that Abhinav character is exiting cause of Harshad’s insecurity- like what these articles just say any nonsense. Like DKP is a huge production. Harshad himself always stated yrrkh is an institution itself, that even after this gen ends, it if there is a new gen- it will also be loved.
