Its nothing wrong to have a mentor who takes you under his wing..if KJO took a liking to Alia, what should she do..? give up the opportunities? is SLB also lying if he says that Alia is a very emotionally intelligent actor and very perceptive? every movie cant be a fluke. Also I have said this before, Alia is not cut out for full blown Madhuri style commercial cinema..but she can act some very difficult roles out..

and as for whatever arm twisting etc..Audience out there doesnt care about all that..we can keep debating about nepotism on India forums..between 50 members, nobody cares a hoot outside.

That isn't something astonishing...the world of cinema knows a lot of real life couples who can't recreate that in front of a camera (too camera conscious?).

Actually (as with a lot of comparisons), I won't compare exactly Kangana and Alia...totally different in what they emanate...

...and honestly, I don't see a sense to do so...

I largely prefer Cougar's take about good and bad performances... 😊

Well it's a discussion among us 50 members of IF. What outsiders think doesn't matter here. We all know Alia has all those meaty roles and also some distant hints about how she might have got those! Anyways that's not the matter here. The topic was about who is better between the 2 and few members stated Kangu. That's there opinion, including me. Both of them are far from versatile. But kangu as a performer stand tall in comparison to Alia. I have only watched Highway, Raazi (fast forward mode), Gangu bhai and brahmastra (⏩) and I wasn't impressed. She might be good but not like some Goddess of acting as some people are projecting her to be! Meryl Streep! Seriously!

When Alia plays a character which is not exactly author backed, her real acting caliber comes out. She gets totally washed out and lost in such roles. The so called flowerpot roles which the ‘elites’ diss are what some not so privileged girls who don’t have the backing of a KJo are able to muster for themselves and the fact that they are still able to become superstars through those roles speaks for the kind of talent they have. Something Alia can never dream of.
