If they think Akshara is as strong as Anupama for leaving a toxic marriage and finding love with a decent man(and this analogy makes Abhinav equivalent to Anuj, who a lot of Anupama haters seem to worship), I got no problems with that.

Anuj was much better written until the Maya track was done. Also, I enjoyed Abhinav before all the rich-poor nonsense and that self-pity he keeps getting into due to it! So according to these makers only orphans can be good husbands!!? All families are toxic - be it the FL’s or the ML side.? No wonder I find myself against their narratives!

I never watched Anupama so can’t comment on that! Yeh rishtha is all about the family values and bonding right from S1 na ? S1 I have watched initial episodes and they were not toxic at all, there r issues n MU’s but not toxic like Gorilla’s ! To me Goenka’s r still better than Birla’s, see I am only saying this based on s3..haven’t watched S2 but heard mimi is toxic too! At least I don’t think they r trying to give such message!

yeh rishta was about family values but presently i don’t see any “family” in the show. even Sharmas were depicted much better before the moving on phase.. they discussed things, didn’t hide information from each other. Akshara was speaking up or her mannerisms gave it back to people who looked down or insulted them.. but such a confidence comes when you are completely sure of being morally in the right. and she has not been totally honest/upfront with people and thats why her confidence on herself is shaking at times. its not the truth she owes to any Birla’s but how she has been handling Abhir that makes me dislike her - she has been letting her fears take decisions for him rather than her love or concern.. i would like her to win custody but because she wants best for Abhir not because she wants to keep Abhir with Sharmas!

But goenkas r foolish and r not less to birlas in toxicity.

Example is they doesn't even know what happened to their daughter and r celebrating.

Akshu is so foolish that she still thinks goenkas as family. I would've kicked them long back
