Maine apne aap ko chuna, and now I am better. Mujhe ab bewajah woh devil shape nahi dikhti and I'm pretty sure, iss gen leap ki bhi yahi wajah hain ki Vankuji also wants to get better. Main issi liye promo analysis karne aa gayi and as expected, promo mein uss devil shape ka kuch nahi tha. Meri hi nazariya galat thi. Anyway promo analysis karte hain.

Jaise hi promo open hota hain, Rehka ji blood red paint ke saath kuch paint kar rahi hain. Un par ek ajeeb sa filter lagaya gaya hain - pale white skin and blood red lips. She is also seen flipping her hair and staring/glaring at the camera.

Scene then cuts to do log joh white pehen ke ek sunsaan park/forest/meadow mein for some unknown reason bhaag rahe hain. Hawa tez chal rahi hain. Patte gir rahe hain. The white male person, female kein gale par peheni huyi duppatta pakad kar, usse aur door bhaagne se rokhta hain. For some ajeeb reason, woh female strangle hone par return smile deti hain. The white male then similarly smile karta hain aur uski face par mirror light flash effects hoti hain.

Scene then cuts to the white male watching grown-up Savi while she is circling some tree for protection. Usse woh white male nahi dikhta. She is then seen staring at her presumably dead parents' photo who are also in white (Colour symbolism pakad lijiye yahah). Phir ek aur apshagun hota hain aur uska mangalsutra kat jata hain. She is then seen going to college for something (which of course means nothing).

Rekha ji phir aati hain aur suddenly unke paint kiya huva heart, flames mein burst ho jaati hain. Promo then ends with Rekhaji cryptically quipping about some tadap, intezaar and ghum hain kisi kein pyaar mein.

After that deep analysis of the promo, I can safely conclude on the future plot now. After Savi's parents die with their eternal love unfulfilled, Savi vows to re-unite other people in their afterlife, who themselves met a similar fate to her parents. Until such time she herself resolves not to marry. In between she goes to business college to later takeover the reigns of the santra empire. The white dressed male and female are her first case.

PS : What do you guys think about Ghum turning to horror now? I mean, what a comeback for Vankuji.

PPS : No the white clothes are not a reference to the 2 day love/yoga camp outfits. Aapki bhi nazariya galat hain. Meri maano toh, aap bhi meri tarah treatment karva dijiye.

Right, my actual predictions then ......

Things of note in the promo :

1. Pyar and Farz have spawned and produced two more words now. Izzat and Karz.

2. Savi (unlike her mom who absolutely hated the idea of forced/deal marriage -> trying to rip her mangalsutra off vs Savi holding an already broken one) is resigned and sad about her forced/deal marriage

With regards to the first, Izzat by itself of course has no meaning in the show. The exact wording is Khandani Izzat, which of course becomes very important. I think, it means that the marriage will happen for Khandaani Izzat (it can either be his or Savi's). If it is Savi's Khandaani Izzat, then it must be related to their debt (either Santra business or helping Vinu). The promo also implied unchaha rishta as Farz and pyaar (her ID card and going to college) as karz. So it is also possible, she will marry him to save his Khandaani Izzat and her education will be his karz on her. (Kill me now)

Grown up Savi, I think will be resigned and sad about her fate due to all the pain she has and will be implied to face. She will be determined only to become a police officer, not caring about other things. However, the issue in this type of characterisation is ultimately only ML will be the one who will be nice to her (when plot allows him to be). I dread they will show that Savi will fall in love first with ML while he is pining for PL.

Overall, all the happier elements are removed and only the grim parts are kept.

PS : I plan to watch the first few episodes. The writing and characterisation had a lot of promise in the very beginning of the show and I always wondered did off-screen affect onscreen or did onscreen affect off-screen. I think now is a good time to test the hypothesis. Will update if things are interesting.

After the sparkling pyrotechnics displayed in the promo, I thought ki ghum ki innovation ki quota khatam hogayi hogi. But surprise surprise, Vankuji still has many tricks up his sleeve. Aaj ki episode mein there was a major update. Savi is now going to become an IAS officer.

Savi ki character introduction hi as an aspiring police officer hua tha and the theme was retained for so long. I'm quite taken by surprise by the change and it got me thinking as to why the makers taking this route at this point in time. So aaj ka analysis -> Why is Savi becoming an IAS officer now and what it means for the plot?

Scenario 1 : Vankuji wants Savi to be an IAS officer for positive reasons :

- He wants to establish Savi as an individual and fresh character and not just a copy cat clone of her Aai-Baba

- He has realised how badly he has bungled Virat as a character and does not want the hate to transfer to Savi. So he is now making her, her Aai ki beti rather than Baba ki beti

- He does not want to repeat poor doctor making ends meet/helpless woman being thrown in jail due to misuse of state machinery, so he has given Savi arguably the most powerful job of the land (Yes. I know that in real life doctors earn more than ethical IAS officers. This is Ghumland and yes, this also immediately implies a track where the ML is insecure about his wife being more powerful than him)

- He no more wants to resolve plot issues and character conflicts by throwing in jaan-leva missions

TLDR -> Vankuji is showing some intent to make S2 a success by bringing something new

Scenario 2 : Vankuji does not want Savi to become an IPS officer for negative reasons :

- If he makes Savi an IPS, then it makes S2 a direct copy of DABH. Making her IAS is his creativity

- He believes in gendered roles and is reserving the dashing, daring, nidar, jaan-baaz, missionary zeal se mission going IPS for his ML (If the ML is a cop then most probably, Guddi is the source material for copying as is being speculated in the forum)

TLDR -> Vankuji is Vankuji and Ghum is Ghum

The show has received immense negative critical reception and vast endless trolling from audience for showing extra marital affairs, adultery, numerous marriage tracks, bad storyline etc.[7] The main characters of the serial Guddi and Anuj characters have been criticised too for being characterless.[8] This series of Magic Moments has been a victim of trolls since its inception.There have been repeated calls for the closure of Guddi on social media. It has been said that this serial is having a bad effect on the society.[9]

At this point I am 100% sure, Vankuji is trolling us. Quite magnificently if I say so myself.

My mandatory prediction of the day.

Now that Vankuji is showing some creativity in the type of civil servant Savi is going to become, I think the next breakthrough innovation is going to come in the cadre allocated to Savi. My guess is she is not getting Maharashtra cadre like Virat. (Ishaan also does not sound like a Marathi name no?)
