He did explain it when talking to MB. It’s all about family, izzat etc. His happiness has never mattered. He’s always been expected to take care of the family and responsibilities as the heir. He also said to Haya that he wishes that he too could runaway. I just got the feeling that he feels trapped and can’t even run away because of his responsibilities as the head. It makes sense even when you think about his whole confession to Meerab asking her to take care of the both of them. He’s always the one who is expected to take care of everything and everyone. His likes, dislikes and happiness is never a priority in this family.

. In bold.. Yes you have a valid point. If you go by the episode then there is no reason of WHYs and not everyone has access to beautiful insights given for a character by fans.
