Generally speaking though, yes, it does and it should. We want to live by the addage, "an eye for an eye....".

On another note, I think this world doesn't get enough sleep and most of our issues, both mental and physical, stem from lack of sufficient sleep.

Sure it could and ya the unsnarling of this ravelment is somewhat predicated on your level of discernment and perception .Factors as you delineated succinctly do have a bearing on the same ..👍

Thanks for your inputs🖱️

The beauty of this song is beyond description!!! One of my all-time favourite songs...everything about it is just so unique!! Rajshri's dance, Ramlal's composition!! everything...and what can I say about Kishori's voice? This is nearly cosmic in its enigmatic nature. This song never fails to make me emotional.

V. Shantaram was first and foremost an artist, and subsequently a filmmaker. He was an admirer of brilliant and flamboyant colours, which he paired with the most elegant dance and photography. He was a filmmaker who brought the world's enormous cultural diversity to the screen.

"Geet Gaya Pattharrone" is a forgotten gem in Indian cinema. The picture starred his daughter Rajshree, whose cinema career was cut short by marriage, and she went abroad after a few more films. "Around The World" is one of them, starring Raj Kapoor. This was Jitendra's debut film, and he appeared like he was on sedative! in comparison to his later films, in which he was the "jumping jack!" of Indian cinema.

Rajshree was a brilliant dancer who was born to dance rather than to act. This is one of two of V. Shantaram's greatest films, the other being "Janak Janak Payal Bhaje."

Another beautiful song from that movie---

Happy World Music day to everyone!

Sucheta Sanyal: Feelin’ Good

‘Feelin’ Good’ was written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the musical, ‘The Roar of the Greasepaint- The Smell of the Crowd’. In 1965, Nina Simone recorded it for her album ‘I Put a Spell on You’. “In the last two years, I have learnt to count my blessings. Every single one of them. Each morning has started with a conscious decision to seize the day, whatever it may bring, and give it the very best of me. Every morning I am given a chance to appreciate all that is right and good and beautiful about my life, and make music. This song is an affirmation of that exact feeling,” says Sucheta.

Feelin' Good

Cheers..

Back in 1955, the music composer duo Shankar-Jaikishan approached singer Manna Dey to record a musical duel with Pandit Bhimsen Joshi for the upcoming film ‘Basant Bahar’. The sequence required Dey to score over the Kirana Gharana stalwart.

On hearing this, Manna Dey blatantly refused the offer saying he could not comprehend defeating Panditji even on screen. It took a lot of convincing to get the veteran singer on board, and this is how-Ketaki Gulab Juhi-one of the most iconic songs of Indian cinema, was recorded.
