Acha btw hu Gujarat thi chu, but Maharashtrian chu. I get best of both worlds! 😆 so basically that's the reason why I can't have mithhi dal daily, marathi food is a bit spicy, so like my maharashtrian spicy dal.

I do make a similar thing but I kinda stir fry it for 2 mins max, add green chillies, sesame seeds, lemon juice n salt.. it tastes delicious.

Growing up I had mild/medium spicy food at home. My husband and family likes spicy. 😆 I have brought down taste in my home to balanced version. Kids don’t like too bland or too spicy. Somewhere on the tasty spectrum. Occasionally I do enjoy spicy dishes though.
