Let me tell this first.. This is not sarcastic post.
I am simply curious. Why did you love the character, 'Abhimanyu'. For me he is not as bad as Vanraj Shah.. but near Virat Chawhan.. That is why I can not understand this overflowing love towards his character.
No definitely not as bad as Vanraj - cannot even compare.
Virat - not sure how bad or good the character is as I've never seen the show so cannot comment.
I don't know about you but I've watched this show since day 1 (of generation 1 with Naitik and Akshara) and I really loved the show because it was different to your usual saa bahu drama.
Stopped watching after Hina Khan left but would catch it now and then and kept hearing from my friend how they ruined Naira and kartik lol
I started watching gen 3 because of promo, I saw Pranali and Harshad together and thought wow they look good together so began watching for them both. But I genuinely liked Abhi's character because I related to him in regards to the child abuse he faced. Seeing a parent be abused by another parent and then still managing to do great in your field is actually impressive and not easy as people may think. Birlas are definitely unstable as a family yet he grew up to be a good human being.
I don't know why people keep saying Abhi is toxic, negative or a terrible person (but hey, each to their own) because in the beginning, he was nothing but kind. If you want to know why people liked him then go to earlier pages and you will find the arguments we used to have for and agaisnt him. Those were good times when we enjoyed bashing and supporting him both 😆
I'll just say that Abhi is the only reason Akshara was able to come out of Arohi's shadows. If Manajri is mentally manipulating Abhi then Arohi was doing same to Akshara up to the point the girl had to leave away from her family to make Arohi happy. It was Abhi who changed all this and made Akshara speak for herself. You can see their journey in two ways: Either you see it as Abhi being obessed with Akshara OR you see the Abhi who was simply trying to save Akshara from her own demons (which was her lack of confidence due neglect). Abhi had taught Akshara to love herself first and he was also the first person who gave importance to her. He even lectured her family for treating her badly.
Yes, Abhi was over dramatic in his expressions by breaking bits and bobs but he was never violent with his family. He knew where to draw the line and he never thought of hurting Akshara. Again, a man who is willing to abort for the safety of his wife, would be less likely to harm her because her health is paramount over everything.
Not gonna lie, I had stopped watching show after marriage because they kept bringing boring plots like Anisha and did not have time to waste. But I saw the episode where he tells Akshara to leave. I don't support him in this and felt it was sooo wrong but I, personally, cannot accept that Abhi. Not because I'm a blind fan or anything, I simply do not cater to the idea of makers butchering their story and their characters for trps. It may be a necessary step for their bread and butter but I do not approve because as I said, this show used to be different to other shows and then to see it degrade like this is not my cup of tea.
What Abhi did that day was in fact, a plot devise more than anything and it still makes zero sense to me as to why they would make Abhi go from caring to cruel in split second. If this epsiode was written then they should have at least built it. I just felt shocked to see a good character be wasted and ruined in one single episode. Its terrible writing and execution. I think if Nav ever turns negative then people may understand my POV.
Right now, I support Abhi in one department and Akshara in another department but since Akshara already has a lot of defenders, I have decided to be Abhi's lawyer on this forum for the time being.
