because culturally we are super dramatic. think about how hilarious our politics is that during elections, we routinely now have 'resort politics' and all the drama that goes along with it. we have anchors discussing seriously where the MLAs have disappeared to and which resort they are hiding in. the entire thing plays out like a movie and we sit there glued to TV half amused and half irritated.

we dance when we are happy whether it is a festival or we are protesting something serious. even during pandemic, PM said bang plates to say bye bye corona and thank you doctors, we all came out and yelled from our balcony. in some buildings, they even danced. lockdown madness. 🤣

so while we laugh about this zoom zoom trope, secretly all the over top reactions we love and thrive on. otherwise, it isn't dramatic enough for us. 😂

One point that did not come out in their frank chat yesterday or in the chai dialogue:

It explains why he set out to ‘test’ with an indecent proposal, and why she understoof & forgave him for that. But it doesn’t explain why he went thru with it, after her act of coming to the hotel itself proved his point. I wish things had or will reach a stage where K asks V, I know u proposed ONS to test me, but after I failed the test why did u go thru with it when u shd have been disgusted with me as yet another proven gold-digger.

I think the answer, which V may not realise, is that he was already drawn to her. Or it is a plot-hole 😆

Ok I am going to be sharing something very very personal and you guys pls pls forgive me for this. It may seem unnecessary but bear with me, because for me, somewhere it’s cathartic.

I was afraid when I started watching the epsiode, I won’t be able to last the episode. So wanted to postpone the feeling and went and watched some other mindless show. Then took some guts to come back and watch this one… lot of back and forth…

Every single word Katha said in the beginning, as someone who has lost the love of my life spoke to me. It’s exactly the feelings I have had for some time now, it’s not what I started with. But in the last few years I have reached this point of peace. I lost the first man I loved, also my fiancé to a terrible car accident around 10 years ago. I was very very young. After that I did meet someone else and for a year I did feel he was amazing, BUT, I wasn’t at the place Katha is at then..so when he proposed marriage, I rejected him, I have always felt terrible for what I did to him. I know for myself it was the best thing. Because I needed to get to a place of this ability to demarcate, to compartmentalize to have certain closure not with my feelings but with the situation.

To me Katha represents that person.

Anyways will be back with my take on rest of the episode over the weekend, but just wanted to say, I relate to Katha’s this side a lot. So you guys have to forgive my bias.
