Infact she was the one who encouraged Virat to either consider adoption or surrogacy to heal from the wounds of losing the baby. Virat himself confesses he finds it so hard to believe that a woman who needs consoling is being so strong while he has become such a weakling. She takes him to therapy and gets him out of the pain. But when after all that Patralekha cheats her way into the whole of the surrogacy drama and Virat silently supports her- goes to the extent of snatching away the baby from her and gives him to PL does she lose faith and trust in the man she loves - especially because she goes on to tell Virat that PL had warned her she would make Virat give him the baby in her hands on his own. When he does that her trust in him breaks as she finds herself all alone against a family that is standing against her to forgive a woman who always betrayed her.
