What matters to sai?

I asked this to few friends before! Wanting to know more about sai’s mindset.

What I think lately is that sai knows virat didn’t move on with pakhi after picnic accident. The vows freaked her out. Later seeing pakhi’s situation she would have also understood virat would not have consummated with her. Somewhere she knows he is a celibate without her. Still she will not accept him because for her I think his emotional involvement has been the problem always.

See how she accuses him of understanding pakhi’s mamta but not hers. How he supports her every time and picks pakhi over her. It is like pre leap only. She might think he didn’t change a bit after she is gone. He still takes pakhi’s side, now more because she is his wife.

Ultimately his celibacy is just a cherry on cake for sai. He is celibate which gives her some comfort but that is not enough for her! What mattered to her always, even when they had healthy and active sex life was that he didn’t support her when needed. So if virat gives back vinu to her, she will melt for him. She knows he misses her physically so she might be okay with his closeness. Though she might not let him cross the line?? Tomorrow if pakhi accuses her of seducing him which she already did multiple times during pani puri date also, sai will not get offended. But if Virat supports her and puts pakhi down, it will melt her more.

Bottom line is proving celibacy is not a big deal, sai might already know he is celibate. No one will consummate with a bleeding from stitches kind of a lady. And she knew after picnic that virat loved her always. The vows are the major setback to her. His involvement with her. How will he prove to sai that there were no emotions involved when he is sharing his space and time with pakhi?

To understand my point better, contrast it with virat himslef. He was agitated that sai slept with another guy. He didn’t see a man lingering around sai. She doesn’t have anyone with her. But the thought of her sleeping with another man who could be savi’s father troubled him more. Once he found savi is his daughter, he understood easily sai never cheated him. Or have such feelings for anyone. But how can sai be sure, even if she know he is celibate?

For sai it is his emotional infedility that freaks her. Now that he is married, he is emotionally involved with pakhi. How will he prove her his love? Only way is to prioritize her at every step. Show her that she comes first!!! Right?

It is hard to clearly put out my thoughts on this! The summary is virat’s celibacy doesn’t matter to sai anymore. She might Already know he is celibate. What matters is his emotional investment in pakhi!

I feel they have made khichadi they cant handle. Only way out is make characters forget what they did or saw others did. In this case as always Sai will be made to forget n suddenly vouch for Virat’s love and celibacy etc etc. Even now she is so casual with chavans as if she never left and no one ever hated her.
What they went through in all these years is no small thing to be cover with randomly giving scenes of eating pakoras n making shayaris. But thats the only way out they know. Plus they have to keep PL relevant in the story for whatever reason.

I read 404’s post the otherday(meant to reply but I was busy n now cant find it) but I feel Sai is most compromised character on this show. Till she realized her love for Virat she had strong sense of right and wrong. Always tried to fight n break free from it. But post Shruti track she lost it. She started validating n accepting every wrong action of Virat n family. Be it her being abused after Shruti kaand or Sam death. I was Shell shocked when she was shown OK W PL slapping her. Then came miscarriage, surrogacy, attack etc etc.. That whole time she literally took in every wrong they did in name of love and trust. When she left we thought its for take ng stand. But she came back sort of wowrt. Calling PL achchi maa n what not. It was only when PL harmed Vinu she got angry varna she is fine sharing Vinu as well.

Right now she is kept on fence - she keeps blaming Virat now n than but is very casual with him n responds to Virat his moves subtly too. Its not at all a good sign. Its another round of -‘SAI is ok with everything to hum kya kare’ is loading.

Basically Vankar dropped Virat n PL characters lowest but by making Sai still accept them, forgive them for whatever random reason- I feel he compromised Sai the most. Her dialogues r righteous but actions lately are opposite. To me Sai is compromised from the time she let PL slap her or talked to Virat n PL nicely despite her openly threatening her n Savi.


I dont think this show has the depth we are looking for. Sai’s breakdown gave me hope but it all flipped n washed away too soon. I am ready for some completely random progression n union of Sairat which will make all solo n shippers go like - what the heck! But then as many day- their show their rulzzz

Main thing is that Sai will never break another person's marriage even for the sake of the kids.

In between P will try to manipulate Savi also.

After both the kids accept Sai fully, P may blackmail her and ask her to leave somehow as she wants Virat and CN.

Don't if BK will allow the same.

Or if BK doesn't allow, she will force Virat to go with her to her mom s place.

But P may also tell Vinu that she gave birth to him to gain sympathy.

He may end up being depressed and broken again.

Then she may leave him.

Sometimes I feel if they want to show leap, P may run away with Vinu. And Sai and V will have another kid later.

After leap Vinu may come back to revenge.

Anyways don't know what Vanku s planning.

She heard him say multiple times she married him only for adoption. She has no one except vinu and that she is mentally unstable. Sai is not pakhi . She is smart. KJ tells her post leap to be receptive of her own emotions . Not to stifle them.

My point is celibacy is not the deal breaker for sai! It is his intentions to be with her as husband and a good father to her children. Ofcourse she will not break his marriage. But she will not accept him just because he he is celibate too

Trust. Respect. Understanding of her POV her pain.

Foundation of the marriage.

Till date Sai is unable to believe Virat when he said he has not poisoned Vinu’s mind. She accused him today too.

It’s not physical for Sai and nor it is for Virat. Yes Virat is showing attraction towards her longing too… but his basis has always been Sai’s pure heart and righteousness. Yet he is unable to understand Sai’s fears as a mother. He knows everything about Sai yet he is unable to comprehend Sai’s fears and insecurities.

Virat is all casual about this the only reason being Sai doesn’t have anyone else in her life. He is overconfident. The thought of Sai having someone else itself kills him but the same fear he is unable to acknowledge for Sai.

Sai doesn’t need a man for finance or physical or mental strength. She is way too strong to tackle all that. She needs an emotionally exclusive partner. Not one that doesn’t keep family first but one that can stand with her; for her; to understand her POV. Virat fails understanding Sai when it comes to why Sai fights with Kaku or why she doesn’t want P near her kids. She wants that when he knows Sai is right then fight all his priorities(his family and friends). Virat failed to understand Sai’s POV during surrogacy of why not to chose P; he failed again and snatched her son; he failed a lot of times when it comes to big rock decisions. She can’t keep giving him chances thinking oh he is too naive and is manipulated easily by P or Kaku.

Sai needs a man who doesn’t get manipulated … even if he sharp she atleast needs a man who looks at her perspective her pain, her loneliness. Virat acknowledges that it wouldn’t have been easy for Sai to handle everything alone however he still takes P or any other folks’ pain above Sai.

I don’t know if I am making sense… Sai needs an emotionally present understanding husband.

It’s crazy Jagtap told Virat that you need to understand Sai’s pain as a mother what she would have gone through losing Vinu. Imagine a criminal like Jagtap understanding Sai’s pain but a man who is head over heel in love with Sai is unable to see Sai’s pain. It’s not that he cannot see her pain he knows it but he chooses prioritizes everyone else above Sai’s pain.

Remember Sai said you can see everyone else pain but mine. It’s like she is invisible.


Virat has who handed Vinu to Sai in her arms with so much pride that here is your son who you were dying to hold is lost in the worlds manipulations. He is not and cannot be so naive.

You're way too deep into this. Makers writers don't even think so much it's evident with the amount of random unwanted PakRat scenes they threw post leap which didn't even serve anything in the narrative. I just go by the acting & expressions, dialogues wrt narrative.

I also feel Sai wants Virat to break that shackle of family (for CN) and specifically shackles of Pakhis friend.

I wrote a few days back when P was again reminding V of day one Vaada…. That Virat needs to break that shackle once and for all tell P it was an era ago that he gave that vaada. He may have said it but it’s not in stern terms.

He needs to break that shackle without any guilt or baggage on his conscience. Even when he says it’s bong time ago and he says I have still fulfilled it by being a friend …. He is not letting it go off of his chest! That is what Sai wants him to break out of it completely.

Now he is acting a duty bound husband to P…. This time if he wants Sai and kids he will have to break that shackle himself and remove that burden from his consciousness.

Hope it’s making sense. It’s not about sailing for two boats. He is Sai’s but he now needs to get rid of the baggage.
