Long(really long) rant alert!

I started seeing after Jay Soni's entry and will continue to see this until his proper exit..(Which better be a nice exit..)

I like HC but never liked Abhimanyu.. from the beginning of S3. But that is a rant for later times..

So was not heart broken when Abhira separated.. In fact I predicted it. But I never thought I would see SGP's Ishan(aka Jay Soni) in this show... It was such a sweet surprise. While everyone were crying, I was shamelessly smiling. And his character is also refreshingly sweet and nice.. the number of toxic MLs I have to see.. MLs with anger issues are not rare in any drama..(not just ITV.. I am looking at you Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Philippines..).. In fact they are just so common...The trope that the men are obsessive, jealous, extremely passionate is also over used in romance genre.. Ok getting side tracked..

Abinav is just a decent human being. Let's see..

He saw a woman (who literally looks like a ghost) almost kicked out of the bus. Being an empathic person, He offered to help that woman who looked like she was in lot of pain. He did not pester her to tell him anything.. or even bothered her much.. he just left her after advising her to take a break from whatever was hurting her by resting against the window.

If things would have gone smooth, then he would have left ak and her problem alone and continued his journey alone.. he was not nosy. But then ak fainted and he offered to take her to hospital...Because he was a kind person.

Again he would have left her, if he could have contacted her family and if her family came to pick her. But her phone broke and he was again stopped from continuing his journey. And he hears the woman is pregnant.. He feels something is off.. but that is not something he can ask a stranger. The woman wakes up.. but is still in mental fatigue state. He informs her about the mobile and leaves without much bothering her. When he returns the tear-filled woman slaps him for no reason.

But he again continues to be understanding and feels that it was just an outburst misfired.

Now a pregnant woman refuses to go back to her house and stay safe. IF he just left her to fend for herself(no money and she broke the phone in frustration{which..btw.. he just fixed that}).. he could not help but feel uneasiness.. just because he is that kind of person. Still, he did not offer much.. just a temporary shelter in a woman's hostel, until the woman come out of her grief. Again, he could have left and then have no connection with her what so ever.. but again.. just then he finds out that the hostel kicked her out.. he had no choice but he help her himself.. maybe because he felt partly responsible(?) for the fact that she ended up in police station.

He offered her his residence as a temporary rest point.. till he drop this woman to a safe place.

After being extremely polite and helpful.. he finds out that this woman feels that she is a handful and she leaves him without any farewell.. but still he drops her at her friend's place.. and by now he understood that this woman would not exactly allow anyone to help her. He just waits for a confirmation.. last time he left her without a proper confirmation she ended in much bigger trouble. He sees that the woman again on streets without any help. By now.. it was time to extend a hand of friendship to a needy person.

He helped her.. again thinking that the help is temporary.. He expected her to solve her problems with her family, whatever it was soon. After seeing her suffer due to her pregnancy..he still hoped her to patch up with her family. He even succeeded in convincing her to talk to her husband.. but he goofed up.

Yes, Let me address the elephant in the room... The whole miscommunication is because of Abinav's stupidity and nothing else... it was so simple..

Abhi: "Where is Akshara?"

Nav:"Oh! please wait.. she is in washroom right now... "

Abhi: "Who the heck are you and why are you holding my (ex)wife's phone"

Nav: "Just a helper.. but that is not important.. Aksharaji wanted to talk to you about something really important.. please wait"

Maybe he got tensed when the opposite person just growled at him. Abhi voice sounded way too jealous in that phone call.. i was like, "Dude, just because a man answered your (ex)wife's phone, it does not have any double meaning."

And still he was just a friend.. he then risked everything to make sure the baby was born.. He held the little piece of life or almost a week till the mother gained consciousness... even then.. when he gave the baby to akshara, he said, "Sirf aapka beta" as though reminding himself that he had no right over the baby.. but he did not need any right to love the baby..

He held the baby and took care of the baby till the mother woke up.. there was no way he couldn't have developed feelings for the baby.. he nurtured the baby to health.. Even the baby felt connection to Abhinav's warmth.. We can see that the grown up Abhir also hugs Abhinav a lot and sleeps cuddling Abhinav..

Then Akshara proposes to marry for the sake of the baby to whom he got so attached he probably did not think much.. He just wanted to love the baby. He knew that the relationship was just for the baby and there will not be romantic feelings.

We know that for Abhinav, children were important in his future, as he broke up with a girl who did not want to have children.

And now, for people who think that that the whole Abhinav not developing any feelings for Akshara is unrealistic.. It is not though...

If we can accept Ishimaa from Yeh hai mohabatein or Neela maa from Naamkaran or Indu from bahut pyaar karte hai to love the children they did not have relation to and were not much interested in looking for romantic relationship.. why couldn't we just accept that Abhinav was just satisfied by becoming a father.. and was not interested in a romantic relationship.

The hindi movie 'Ghar ka chirag(1989)' showed a man marrying a pregnant woman and loving the son very deeply.. he and the mother had a sweet family relationship with the kid but they were not physically intimate.

Malayalam movie, 'Mangalam Nerunnu(1984)' showed a man loving and caring for a prostitute's daughter. He never had a relation with the mother but loved the daughter as his own. He sent her to a best boarding school and kid called him 'daddy'. For the sake of the child, he did offer the mother marriage, but the mother refused. He remained unmarried till the end though. He did not separate her from her own mother.. just legally adopted her after her mother's demise.. that movie showed such a beautiful father-daughter relation..

So, I can totally believe that a man can also be in a platonic relationship with a woman and love her child as his own.

And I think that there was no other perfect person to act this character pother than Jay Soni.. Such a perfect casting..

I just hope he gets a proper send off from the show... when the time comes..

Firstly, welcome to the forum. And thanx for writing on Nav.

I will do the same soon. And your write is not long it was relevant. I do long sh*t. 😊

Abhinav is a talkative, good at heart person. And he first fell in love with Abhir then with Akshara.

Him saying pighal gaya and hesitation to hold Ak's hand even after 6yrs of coparenting is what is making this unrealistic for me.

If he made one move towards her she will agree to a complete wholesome relationship I feel. Thats the only step thats left for her to completely bury her past.

Ak on the other hand comes as someone entitled to take advantage of the fellow who is too good to her. She is in a total hysteric wife mode. doesnt want to role play but has to life is mundane fugitive life-character.😆

You did an amazing job. I’ve never watched any of Jay Soni’s serials before but the way he portrays Abhinav’s role just has my heart. Loving your own child is normal but loving someone else’s child like your own is the real test of fatherhood. Abhi loves Ruhi like his own child because she’s his brother’s daughter who isn’t in the world anymore but Abhinav loves Abhir like his own child without having any relationship with him. I know some people are waiting to see how Abhi and Abhir’s relationship will develop but like how will he develop a relationship with his child when he has no respect for his child’s mother?

I truly hope they don’t make Abhinav negative to justify Akshara going back to Abhi. We know Jay Soni is doing a cameo and his role will end sooner or later but makers can give him a good end rather destroying a beautiful character they created.

@bold: But will she though?... I feel Akshara have built a wall around herself. A huge wall.. And I think even Abhinav feels it.. and he is a decent person so he is not overstepping his boundaries.. that she drew for him.

Akshara really bad at communicating.. and she never opens up to her family much.. I don't know her before this.. I only saw her in the beginning episodes of S3 and then also I felt that although she helps people but she does not let others help her.. she does not open up.

We know that Abhinav still have no clue about Akshara's trauma. She never told him about anything. I think she acknowledges that Abhinav is a good person and a good father.. but is still not comfortable around him.. is still not able to trust him enough to be open with him... is still wary of him to not show her vulnerability. And Abhinav feels it. He is the text book definition of an open person.. so he understands that he cannot force a person to open up.. He is still waiting for her to open up.

Many feel Ak has moved on.. But I feel far from it... Ak did not move on.. she is still mentally stuck in that time.

I would have accepted that she has moved on.. only when:

1. She starts to trust another person

2. She starts singing again .. this time for herself.

3. She learns to love all versions of herself. The current Ak sees the past ak as a failure.. almost feels like she also blames the past ak for her pains.. but acknowledging you are wrong and correcting yourself is different from completely hating her old version. I hope this made sense..

4. Her happiness and her contentment does not have an asterisks on the top.. My new life will be happy provided my past does not touch it...

Abhinav is not the weird one here.. he is just a decent human being who got mixed up by a complicated woman. He is also allowing the woman to solve her problems her way.. and probably decided to wait till then.

If Akshu feels to move on .. one day then.. She herself would have initiated the change in her and Abhinav's life.

I am sure if Akshara has asked Abhinav to be her brother and cared for her baby like an uncle, Abhinav would have gladly accepted even that..

But maybe Akshara felt the love between the two somewhat deep.. as she also had a deep relation with her Sirat maa, till she knew about Naira.. she loved Sirat and even after knowing that.. her love did not lessen.. Sirat and Akshara were connected by the same type of deep feelings.. unexplainable but understandable..

And Abhinav's love may have caused her to make him Abhi's father.

Did she think that when the truth is out the boy will be traumatized? No.. probably she did not think that far.. but maybe she thought she will handle telling the truth in a matured way... the way Sirat was planning to tell her.. The truth did not traumatize her when she was explained properly.. She accepted both her mothers and loved them equally. Only Sirat's death was the main reason for her pain not the fact that Sirat was not her biological mother.

In Sirat's case, Naira was dead and everyone liked Naira.. no one was hurt.. But in Akshara's case.. Abhimanyu hurt her deeply.. so it would be difficult to say this to the kid.. Maybe she was planning to say to her son when he was a bit mature to understand complicated relationships.

And till now Abhir is perfectly raised by a set of parents who love him very much... and there is no fight between the parents also.. It is an healthy environment for a kid to grow up. He can see that in a relationship mutual understanding and respect is important. and wouldn't Ak want that healthy environment for her son instead of toxic relationships.

Unless the writing team is entirely changed.. I don't think Abhinav will turn evil..

The way he wanted Abhir to meet Abhimanyu. he also wanted Abhir to become like Abhimanyu. Sometimes the dad wants to be the role model for the son. But here, Abhinav is encouraging Abhir to see others as role model.

He knows he is lacking in several departments.. and he is not ashamed of it.. but he wants to provide everything that he lacked to his 'son'

I watched few clips on Twitter yesterday of abhi and Abhinav. I agree with you ! This season was the worst of the lot. It was all ddp but with Jay Soni it’s like a breath of fresh air. This season really needed a character like him. I think his character is much needed change and I hope he gets a beautiful send off.

Again... me .. continuing my Abinav praise saga😃

What to do? I just love Abhinav's character..

So this time my topic is PHOTOS!!!!

People started saying that the photo frames shown in the latest episodes were new addition.. but see the photos were already there.

More than to show the proof that these photos were planned way before, These photos show us such a happy family. But if we see closely... these photos also show us the truth..

From far.. these looks like any normal family photos.. My house photos were similar. (Framed baby photos of mine and my brother were everywhere..Mine being more because by the time my brother was born, we had our own camera and he fills all the albums...3-4 albums full of baby bro pics.. enough to embarrass him for lifetime)

Every photo shows that Abhir is loved and treasured by his parents. But they are only parents.. not husband and wife. There is not a single photo of them together. Like our parents photo. If Abhi ever see them.. I hope he also feel that.. but whom are we kidding.. he might just go in quick jealous mode again...

These photo frames also makes that place their own. To explain that, let me just bore you guys with my story (I swear this has a point). My parents shifted to our ancestral house around 2 years back.. and the photo frames which adorned our cupboards were spoiled due to a flood. So the new ancestral house did not have any photos. 6 months before, I went there and bought few frames and printed some of the old photos which was there in my drive. after putting the photo frames.. Everyone felt more cozy around the house. Even my parents felt that the house became a home after adding those captured sweet moments around.

Same way, All three might feel that coziness when they are in that house..Even the viewers ffeel the warmth.. no matter how much cringe they feel during Abhinav-Akshara role play scenes.. no one can deny that the Sharma house feels like a warm place. A place where a happy family is living.

The photos show the sweet moments of past.

It is not too much..or obsessive.. because my house had way more photo frames and so far my mother does not feel like a psycho to me🤡

For Abhinav... These photo frames are like a treasure that he thought, he couldn't have. Those photo show that he have some one to love and some one loves him.. Abhir. Even though him and Ak do not have a normal husband and wife relationship, he is happy that the photos tell the story of 2 people who value his presence in their lives. For an orphan, that is a heaven he couldn't enter previously. That is also the reason, he does not feel wronged by the fake husband role. Because in his eyes, he couldn't have those things before. He feels he never deserved the titles such as father, brother, husband, son.. He never had them.

For Akshu.. It represents a time of peace.. As I have said, I have only seen the earlier days of S3.. so there I felt, Akshu longed to be with her family.. but couldn't be with them for long without any drama from Aaru. For her, to be able to take these pictures, it feels like a dream. A representative of a time where she was peaceful. She has not moved on... But this was also the most peaceful days she had.

For Abhir.. these photos are normal.. They just show him what he already knows.. That his parents love him. These photos make him feel the warmth of his parents. That is why, we see him looking at these photos before confronting the 'gande-wale uncle'. He is reminding himself that he is doing it for his parents. The parents who love him the most. I really want to know what will happen to these photos when Abhira get back together.. Abhinav(most probably dead..please...please..please don't make him evil..please).. How will the kid be able to discard the normal.. and move towards the 'correct' version. Poor kid.

But I am sure ITV will just gloss over the child's trauma.. ITV always does that..
