I think some where deep down he does know the fact that he has lost it and he just can not blame dev all the time. His daughter is equally involved more than dev and what amba said was right.
but his ego does not let him accept that so he is staying in denial and blaming others.

Dev is totally on different tangent kill with kindness. He is a business man, no in fact smart businessman so he does know how to deal with people like HP.

Yaar more than anything.. Jo sabse achi baat hai vo ye hai ki dev kitna comfortable hai apne and vidhi k pyar ko lekar.. Kaise khul k baat kr pa rha hai vidhi se... Koi awkwardness nhi hai uski and vidhi ki taraf se... Hariya jaye bhaad mein.. Ab to uski biwi bhi uski nhi rahi..

All of his accusations, assumptions, thoughts and guesses about both dev and vidhi have been proven wrong. So he is now just looking some one to blame or trying to find any stupid reason

Ab keval male ego ka chakkar hai. He is not able to accept a male taking dominance in his household other than himself on a subconscious level.
