It's really good to see a person with his origins from former colony shaping the future of a country which built it's wealth by looting the lands which it colonised. But other than that how right is it on the part of Indians to expect him to have a pro India and pro Hindu stance?

I already said I haven’t seen anybody expecting anything from Sunak. That his loyalties are with Britain and that’s the only way it should be.

I don’t know what else you want me to say here.

As for Indians getting happy at Sunak becoming UK PM, Indians celebrated Kamala Harris’ too.

And Indians celebrated Parag Aggrawal firing from Twitter.

Indians enjoy hiring n firing of Indian origins equally. No discrimination 😆

Same thing goes with Kamala Harris too. Don't understand why Indians go overboard with their celebrations over issues like this.

Don't understand the need to celebrate the success of these foreign nationals who don't think of themselves as Indians in the first place.

Unlike Kamala, it could be wise to wait and see what Sunak may do. 😃

Will we ever see a situation like this coming up in our own country? Here we tell people who practice religion which did not originate in our land to leave the country and that too when the blood runs in their body is the same blood as the people from majority community.

What do you mean? Do you mean people haven't revolted that a Hindu is in power?

I don't know much about UK politics but I heard

He was not elected by the people, but chosen by the Tories

By that I mean the people did not vote him in

Even his party chose Liz Truss over him, he was made fun of, until his predictions came true causing economic colapse and she had to be kicked out in less than 2 months

the British public NEVER choose the leader of a party whether it be the Tories, Labour, Lib Dem, Green, UKIP or any other. The leader of the party is always chosen by its members. Rishi was elected in his constituency which is why he is an MP (member of parliament) that was the same before and after he became PM.

The only difference between when Liz was voted in and Rishis was when Liz won it was all members voted. When Rishi one it was solely the Tory MPs as they needed to appoint someone quickly.

One would confirm that he is professionally up for the task. 👍🏼

But his religious persuasions will bring premature judgment.

The hope is that he gets a fair chance.

I know, the parliamentary system similar to India

How was Boris Johnson elected? I mean the people knew during the election that he would be the next PM if Tory wins, right?
