The possibilities you have written are great but as you said the writer operates in his own logical world much away from reality.

Karan will always get whitewashed.

Preeta/Shraddha have deliberately shown no interest in a Rishta track so it won’t happen.

She will continue to be blind to his wrong doings and go running to him. Woh kuch bhi karay.

Rishabh will never truly get a chance to shine as just when Rishabh gets a solid track either Manit takes off for holidays or the writers never fully develop it beyond a point and always underplay his character.

Everything will move only if Arjun is revealed as Karan. Till then they will show Preejun romance and 1 episode of Rishabh being the focus and 2-3 Rishta scenes the whole week while everyone keeps doing Karan/Arjun jaap undermining the presence or actions of Rishabh. Yeh hit formula of the writers, they will drag it for next 6 months.
