🏏 India vs South Africa 3rd T20I--Indore 🏏

India and South Africa go head-to-head in the final IT20 of the three game series on Tuesday evening at the Holkar Stadium, Indore.

The first two games have been won by India. They won the opening fixture by eight wickets in Thiruvananthapuram and the second by 16 runs on Sunday.

India’s top order produced a fantastic performance on Sunday. Only five batters were required and they all hit sixes. The home side are producing consistently strong showings in this format.

South Africa were always up against it chasing 238 for victory in the second game of the series. However, they came up only 16 runs short and were far more competitive than in the first match.

The Guwahati run-fest on Sunday was a rather successful demonstration of the batting template the Indian management had been harping on for the last year, but T-minus one game from launching their 2022 T20 World Cup campaign, the spotlight has shifted on to bowling.

With pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah now officially ruled out of the global event, all eyes would be dissecting India's bowling show in the third dead rubber T20I against South Africa.

On the upside, South Africa did manage a quick turnaround in the batting fortunes from Trivandrum, courtesy a scintillating second T20I hundred from David Miller and an assured 69 from Quinton de Kock in Guwahati's run-fest of a game.

But the form of their captain Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw remains a concern for them at the top of the order.

IND vs SA Match Toss Prediction

Both teams have won the toss and decided to field first across the opening two matches. It would be a big surprise if either skipper chose to bat first after winning the toss in this game.

IND vs SA Pitch Report

There will be spin on offer to the bowlers on this pitch in Indore. Expect the surface to not change a huge amount over the course of the match.

Weather Report

Partly cloudy with the temperature falling from 29 degrees to 26 degrees from the start to the finish of the game. There will be no rain delays on Tuesday.

Rohit Sharma - The skipper made a duck in the opening game of the series but bounced back by hitting 43 runs from 37 balls on Sunday.

Suryakumar Yadav - the number four batter has made the position his own over recent months. He has scored 61, 50 not-out and 69 in his last three innings and we expect him to be pushed up the order in this game.

Arshdeep Singh - The 23 year old has taken wickets in 11 of his 13 IT20 appearances and has picked up the wicket of Rilee Rossouw in both games of this series.

IND Team Form

India have won four successive IT20s and look to be one of the strongest teams ahead of the T20 World Cup.

There was one change to South Africa’s XI ahead of the second IT20 with pace bowler Lungi Ngidi coming into the side in place of spinner Tabraiz Shamsi. We expect Shamsi to be selected in Indore on a pitch which normally assists the spinners.

Quinton de Kock - The 29 year old keeper-batter has scored 1964 runs in this format. He hit three fours and four sixes on Sunday.

David Miller - The experienced left-handed middle order batter hit his second IT20 century in the last match. His 106 not out came from only 47 balls.

Keshav Maharaj - The 32 year old left-arm spinner took 2-23 in the second IT20. His economy rate of 5.75 compared well to all other South African bowlers rate of 12+ for those who bowled over three overs.

South Africa had been in excellent form in IT20s but are now looking to avoid their third successive defeat.

South African batters, Quinton de Kock and David Miller, were very impressive on Sunday and it will be interesting to see if they can maintain their level for this game. We expect a close contest but our prediction is for another win for India to take the series 3-0.

South Africa did manage a quick turnaround in the batting fortunes from Trivandrum, courtesy a scintillating second T20I hundred from David Miller and an assured 69 from Quinton de Kock in Guwahati's run-fest of a game.

But the form of their captain Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw remains a concern for them at the top of the order. The pair is yet to get off the mark on this trip, and the latter at least could make way for one of the two in-form benched batters ahead of the World Cup.

Pleasant evening and partially cloudy night in store. The pitch at Holkar Stadium has been a paradise for batters and chasing has been the preferred choice of captains winning the toss.

Either Rishabh Pant or Suryakumar Yadav could expect a temporary promotion to open alongside Rohit Sharma for the game. Iyer should get some game time finally, ahead of the ODI leg of this white-ball series while one of Siraj or Umesh will make up the XI.

The tourists could also ring in a change in their top-order to alleviate their batting woes.

Either of the in-form pair of Heinrich Klaasen or Reeza Hendricks could get a look-in after spending the first two games on the bench.

That effort has been there for the last 10-12 months since the last World Cup, that (scoring big runs batting first) is something that we have consciously tried to get better at. We've done it whenever we've gotten opportunities. It was a big learning from the last World Cup. - KL Rahul said on India's new batting approach.

Thanks for the tag :). Good luck to team India :).

personally I don’t think anyone needed to be rested given their forms and should have played full strength team.
