Exactly it's upto us what we want to watch. Like you, i m also not comfortable with bold scenes that why I watch selective shows and movies.
But that was in history. I watched many old Indian movies.. not much art ones.. so I can confirm they weren't bold. It is only now that they are doing it, not because they returned to their roots, but because they are imitating west. And of course to attract viewers , coz it sells.🤔
I don't know the history but i remember the bollywood movies i watched in my childhood used to be family movies unlike current movies which are full of glamour only no storyline nothing.

I cannot eat any hotel or restaurant ka food because I am allergic to spicy food. That's why I love baking and I prefer baking over cooking

Not just romantic movies, even family dramas are rare nowadays. Those slice of life thought provoking movies are fine, but why should they have a love making scene? Only coz it is a part of life, or for entertainment? And how can showing almost everything be less bold than expression of sexism?😕 I watched almost all the Indian movies with my family.. never once I felt shy.. yes, some dancing under the rain scenes where bold, but overall those movies were family entertainers.. I don't think we are doing any good by normalising bold scenes..
Family content is now rare in bollywood. There was a time when movies like Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum, bagbhan used to be made and used to be appreciated. Ab aisa content banta hi nhi.
Still movies like kgf and rrr the south movies are making more money than all the bollywood woke movies so i think youth will still go to watch it if movie is good
Every genre movie has different audience. Recently Bhool Bulaiya 2 was super hit, it was not a youth movie neither it had any glam or much bold scenes. Still people liked it because of it's story and performances. Tabu was appreciated a lot in this movie. which means audience do appreciate good work not just bold work.
