Only coz it is a part of life, or for entertainment? And how can showing almost everything be less bold than expression of sexism?😕 I watched almost all the Indian movies with my family.. never once I felt shy.. yes, some dancing under the rain scenes where bold, but overall those movies were family entertainers.. I don't think we are doing any good by normalising bold scenes..

True. I have stopped watching bollywood due to the same reason. But you can still find some nitche movies that are good even now😊

Everything else aside, the ratings of this Netflix Original are so bad. Plus, ahad's character hardly has any significance in the larger scheme of things for the series. He isn't exactly a protagonist (I hardly watched 10 minutes of the first episode.)

Someone was saying that he wanted to work in Hollywood that's why i think he is doing it but as you said getting good and important roles in Hollywood is not easy

Yes, Mawra and Sajal were criticised way more harshly than Ahad. I am surprised. Sajal's part in Ishq e laa was nothing at all still they were shaming her, blaming her for divorce. Now the same fans feel that Ahad's role was romantic so much of double standards.

Also Pakistan tops ranking in the countries were p**rn is watched the most. So they should stop criticising actors.

Someone mentioned on twitter too hopefully ahad get the same hate that sajal and mawra got and i think he is getting too only fans are there for him baki fb py tou its dragging

ThiS is not that important issue to waste your energy in it.

Many other Pak actors did bold scenes previously in BW and HW. If we talk about religion yes it is wrong. We should not normalize it.

But the point is everyone is answerable to their deeds. They know what are they doing. So we should not name or shame them. Unka hisaab unhoney khudi dena hai. We should think about ourself. We can stay away from sin by not watching such scenes. Yes We can dislike that actor but don't curse them or abuse them. As i never liked Ahad that's why I m not shocked.

Ikr i was bit shocked cuz i just started liking him a bit in Hum Tum but never mind . As you said we can skip it and watch what we want ..

Someone in the thread said k i am making topics about ahad only and trolling him lol i was like when did i do it 😲xd

Bollywood movies used to normalise sexist comments and degrading women and if people can accept that then two characters kissing each other with concent shouldn't be a problem. Expression of love is always better than expression of sexism, degrading an entire gender, promoting toxic masculinity etc. At least bwood is moving away from all that.

The phase of Bollywood romantic movies are over like the phase of hollywood rom-coms got over after the early 2000s. Every industry goes thrown different phases and 90s and early 2000s where the romantic movie phase of Bollywood with srk as the poster boy for romance and love. That era is gone.

Kdramas are filling that gap now. Even Korean movies at the start used to make rom-coms only and most of the classic 2000s Korean movies are rom-coms but now it's different. It's mostly slice of life thought provoking movies.

I agree with bollywood not making romantic movies anymore those old good times are over not its all about sex and stupid story line .. i don't even watch bollywood anymore last rom com that i watched i guess was chennai express

Because the population of India changed. India has the youngest population in the world and going to theaters are no more a family outing thing like it was in 90s and 2000s. Indian movie's main target is the new gen audience and majority of them don't want to watch rajshri production movies. Most of them watches movies with friends rather than with parents. So not feeling comfortable with family is no more relevant. Even itv has female characters wearing pretty bold clothes and people watches it with family. Most people just accepted those things and don't care anymore what women are wearing.

The new gen don't have the time or patience to watch a 3hr long movie on just romance and leads suddenly going to a foreign location to sing and dance. Malayalam movies nowadays rarely even have songs and dances. Bwood still has singing and dancing. Malayalam film industry almost left those things and focuses only on making better and more progressive movies. If those movies require bold scenes they don't mind showing it but they don't make movies solely to show bold scenes.

Also showing a kissing scene is way more decent than showing the ML running his hands all over the FL or kissing her neck or stomach etc and the FL having fake orgasam face expressions which used to always happen in 90s and 2000s movies. Srk-kajol's rain dance in kkhh was way hotter and bolder than a lot of kissing scenes shown on new bwood movies.

Sexism means stereotyping or discriminating a particular gender and in most cases it's women which was very common in 90s and 2000s movies and is getting lesser nowadays. Showing sexism is not bold. It's regressive.

Still movies like kgf and rrr the south movies are making more money than all the bollywood woke movies so i think youth will still go to watch it if movie is good

Bwood nowadays makes movies like thappad, pink, raazi, piku etc which are not at all about sex or stupid storylines. All these movies have strong storylines without any bold scenes and are led by strong female characters which would have never happened if bwood simply only made romantic movies.
