Thats what intriguing though. Almost everyone is assuming there is mistress angle but maybe its something else.

Also the show has surprising elements like kuki coming back so soon. Their storytelling has also been good till now. I hope the suspense is good too. They do not ruin it

When the mother in law was introduced she was talking to cookie and it appeared like she was her mother and then it was revealed that she's the mother in law and it was established that they share a close bond and she's the one who visits them and the son is busy with work all the time. The father in law and mother in law discuss about how nice, sweet and lovely cookie is...and what a turn around it has been..cookie disappeared for 4 days and the mother in law has flipped 😆 now she feels that her son should have controlled his wife better 🤔

Wow..she forgot 13 years of closeness that she had developed with cookie.

The drama is intriguing but I also love the way they're showing how people change under certain circumstances...Everybody was so excited about cookie coming and now so many of them are bitching..not just in cookie's sasural but also in her own house.

I on the other hand think she was just a bored housewife who got fed up with being taken for granted. If the husband has no time for you, why can’t a woman stand up for that.

I think she was a naive kid, an azad panchi who wanted to remain azad and had certain expectations about her life ahead which eventually turned into fumes after her marriage. Instead of being free, she became caged and didn't even realize it or somewhat made peace with her reality. Basically, the marriage killed her innocence, optimism and zeal, turning her into a woman who has no identity of her own. The husband may not have a mistress but he's definetly not a good husband, that's been established. The man is a self-absorbed, misogynistic ass who just looks educated from the outside.

There are so many things to unpack here. The Kuki's father married her off at 18 because there was a seemingly badmash guy who had taken a liking tgo her i.e. Mirza Zain. Jibran and his family however seemed educated and progressive so the family fell into the facade of appearance and married her off. I'm getting the feeling that Mirza will turn out to be a decent guy and that should show how we judge people on their appearence but he would have proven to be a better partner for her.

I hope they also touch on the idea of educating their children and making sure they are able to stand on their own feet but i feel like that's too much to hope for in this drama. At best, i can pray the writers don't just make her go back to JIbran in the end and actually show her finding her own identity and remain steadfast, away from all the relations that either used her or took her for granted.

I actually like Hiba in this show more than any other of hers. Her numbness and robotic actions with clear intentions in mind to seperate are actually nice.

I dislike Jibran and his roles in general, this ain't know exception. I love the daughter though, watched her in Hum tum and loved her there.

Hope something out there has mercy and we get to watch something different but its too much to hope for in this time and age of Pakistani TV.

The mistress angle is assumed from the other woman in the ost, kuki telling her husband about the affair referring to a friend's story and yesterday they showed she met this other woman although it was ambiguous but judging by it she seems to be the other woman.

I still feel ki the children are not kukis. Otherwise why would she not take them😔? Maybe the abroad angle has been introduced so that no one, not even family member knew about this and for the children's sake she is silent 🤔. Jibran character seems very depressed in the initial episodes. Maybe he is happy with kuki now but in the initial flashback he seems depressed. I hope the suspense is clear in the next episode.

I also like the way they are showing us how all of the family members are turning their back on kuki. They were all praising her before arriving now everyone is badmouthing her. Kiku too is giving her reason's to badmouth her. Now it seems her brother too Will not support her in the next episode. Maybe the same thing happened with her phupi.

They are also trying to highlight phupi and nephew relationship. Maybe they will highlight the same with kuki and her pupils in upcoming episodes.

@bold. They didi highlight education part today. So I think they will introduce something. The story seems to be about the girl who is finding her identity.

I hope so too she doesn't go back to Jibran if he is at fault

Another interesting episode where Cookie's silence continues. Practically everyone in the family is against her now. Her siblings, sister-in-law, in laws, and even her children. Only the niece seems to recognize that there is some deep pain behind Cookie's silence and empathizes with her.

The way Hamna, Cookie's daughter spoke to her was infuriating. She had no business giving an ultimatum to her mom about choosing them or else...Glad that Cookie didn't succumb to the blackmail and disowns her kids as well in the precap...Stunning and hoot-worthy moment👍🏼 I agree that the kids are panicking but the daughter didn't even try to understand the mother's mindset.

Cookie despite seeming stoic on the outside is crumbling fast on the inside...she was shell-shocked by her kids' ultimatum and the contrast between how her siblings treated her earlier and how they mistreat her now. Now the same brother who was being grateful to Cookie for giving him a loan in his time of need will try to throw her out of the house. I am rooting for Cookie all the way. She needs to throw this useless bunch of people away and start her life anew, or at least take them back only if they try to understand her.

All of her problems seem to stem from her inadequate education- she has just completed her 12th and was married off as a naïve girl who was full of fantasies about a tall, handsome and brooding husband who would take her abroad. Now that the fantasies are shattered, she is looking for an identity of her own. That's very relatable and I hope Cookie gets to stand on her own feet by the end- hopefully by establishing a business related with cooking/baking because she is very good at that; or maybe pursuing a higher education?

P.S. It is quite interesting that even Cookie's name has been changed by her husband. She was Sharmeen, but now everyone , including her parents, call her Cookie. It'd be worth seeing Cookie reclaim her identity in all aspects, including her name. Her nickname is also so functional-referring to her being a good cook.

In many ways this show is interesting because it is far from a cookie-cutter one (Pun intended) Let's see if they maintain this throughout and don't give a conventional happy ending to it. (Not having high hopes though!)

Cookie needs to open her mouth already. This is a serious matter; everyone has been very patient, but her robotic nature has become irritating. If the husband has cheated or abused her, she should say it instead of testing everyone's patience. If she can run away, asks for a divorce, and disown her kids, she can certainly muster the guts to reveal what caused her to do this. If kids and others turn against her it's her own fault.

Pathetic behavior.
