Aruna seems to be doing well with the song. I think SMP sang this in II12 and I liked her version of this song.

That is why Sayisha and Rohan were rocking last weekend - their voices matched so well. Same for Rituraj and Harshita in a couple of weekends before her elimination.
@bold :- You said it! Back-stories are ok ; but at least give us variety here. I don’t think people are waiting to hear such stories from chunky or Shakti Kapoor 😳. These 80swale celebs should not be called in succession show after show ( & week after week 😩 ) when they are still fresh in the public memory. I guess that's why they do it - for the backstory that seem to interest many people. Problem is, it's the same guests, same songs, sometimes same stories over multiple seasons of different shows
@bold: I'm fine with old songs. Just wish it was a mix up of both. You can't call a Chunky Pandey or a Sonali Bendre and expect a dhamakedaar weekend It sets the mood early itself. My opinion.

I liked all 4 of these performances shown here, but especially Sayisha.
I am just waiting to hear PD once again on this. When he supported Anushka on this song he basically stole jer thunder - he was just awesome.
The current songs definitely lack the pull of the 80s & 90s. But when it becomes Guest-centric the choice becomes limited. And talking of back-stories, I would rather hear those from lyricists, music directors , singers etc. Amit Kumar, Ashaji, Bappi Lahiri episodes were so interesting - bappida was even repeated, still it was a dhamakedar episode. Same with Anandji & Pyarelalji. There are many such celebs from the music industry of that era who can be called as guests.Originally posted by: Realityshow
I like the fact that guests who are the original lip have some back story to share many times and really know how the original was sung. You notice that when they lip lines when some contestants sing.
The 80's and 90's is here to stay. Voice India 3 tried more modern songs. It was a big flop despite the aura of AR..
