So Imma say it....
It's because it is HC....had anyone else been Abhi, we wouldn't get this as the main Q before every episode. It would just be a usual episode like S2. However, because HC is Abhi, every day...every episode...every track is basically "aaj Abhi kya karega".
He will fall...he has been pushed away by bhai....he can't even see how sad and lonely bhai is...he isn't even wondering where bhabhi is...the old Neil would have been like "bhai, its not bhabhi's fault...you were imposing your decision on mata. Look at yourself and look at how miserable you are".
This is NSB though...he will be like "bhai?who dat? I never heard before! Where my daddy uncool?" Sad story....
HC is doing a wonderful job at bringing Abhimanyu to life.
I was by no ways disparaging his efforts with my comment that it made me chuckle. Just a few days ago we were discusing what season 3 was all about in a light fun way so to hear that you view season 3 as
"aaj Abhi kya karega" was like oh, yeah it can be viewed that way too hence the comment.
Neil is still struggling with the information he received. His world just got turned upside down it isn't just Abhimanyu who get affected. He had every right to question Manjari on why she hide the truth. And because he was in that state anyone who was trying to defend Manjari would have received the same treatment from him. Neil is trying to figure out his place in the family especially now that he knows he is a Birla. He is probably curious about his birth mother and is seeking out the one blood relation he has which is his father who has those answers. He's received a mother's loved and a brother's love but the one love he never received was a father's love. So he is just seeing will this dynamic change? We as the audience think he is being foolhardy as Harshvardhan is a vile person and has treated him so poorly in the past and have treated his own step mother badly why would you even want to associate yourself with this person? But Neil has been shown that he also share similar views regarding relationships like Manjari, Akshu, and the rest of the Goenkas (minus NSG). At the end of the day Harshvardhan is still Neil's father through blood so there is a relationship there no matter how much you can try to deny it. His thinking is why not seek to understand the scope of this new relation?
I expect him to start seeking his rights as a Birla. In his mind if everyone had known the truth his life may have been different. Before he thought he was an orphan and only asked for what he thought he deserved because he was grateful for what the family gave him. And to be honest none of the Birlas accept for Manjari, Abhimanyu, and the rest of the Birla kids accepted him fully. Neil was given a college education but he probably went to an okay school and didn't request much because he didn't think he deserved to say go into law school or become a doctor because of the financial burden it would put on the Birlas. He knew his place in the family and thus never requested or asked. Harshvardhan never treated him as one of his own and would never allow himself to spend that type of money to put Neil through one those schools because he did differentiate between him and Abhimanyu who he knows is his own blood. That is the issue that Neil is feeling and Manjari’s actions of hiding his truth deprived him of what could have been. Neil even admits in a dialogue he had insecurity issues due to him being labeled an "orphan".
Neil is going have to figure out how he wants his relationships to be from now on. The only person who has reached out to him that we have seen is Akshu. So he is vulnerable now to be being manipulated by NSG and Harshvardhan for whatever it is they want to do and use him for.
