Oh. Sachitra version. We had sankshipt (concise) Version in our school syllabus. :) Those are impossible to find now i guess. Maybe in the school library but they aren't open for public.

Yes. Primary school teacher. The syllabus for private CBSE schools doesn't mention anything about these books.

I don’t remember if we had anything in school syllabus.

Yup sachitra version of all 3 books ( I guess my mom gave it to someone after we grew up ) and even I had read shiva-sati - parvati sachitra version as well.
We had a neighbor back home who has a publication agency so as I kid I used to borrow the story books and then return them after reading thats how I read shiva-sati- parvati story , stories of panchatantras and hitopnishadas .
Now I don’t find any of these the one which I read and even I forgot the name of the publication house 🤦‍♀️

I remember drawing Lord Hanumaan and Lanka dahan scene from sachitra book in my 9th or 10th drawing assignment from school.

Gita Press Gorakhpur publishes these devotional and religious books. Maybe you will find what you are looking for. Also Amar Chitra Katha publishes these and other folk stories in comics and pictorial format. Although ACK aren't that good as they used to be in childhood. They are also infested with woke virus. Few months ago one of the illustrators was caught demeaning scriptures and was fired. For sure this won't be the only one.😵 The moment weather is a bit relenting (living in India, feeling like ME 😡) I will go to the biggest public library here to look for these books or maybe try other sources/contacts.

Thank you. I will check with geeta press. N I read the books in gujju so I have to check. It was not ACK I am 100% sure cz the illustrations and drawings were different. N it was not a comic kind of as it was more of continuing story or chapters.

I read somewhere in an article that ACK lost its authenticity in recent time after Anant Pai died.
I wish I could visit the public library back home. Here I won’t find those gems. Even on internet all I see is ACK books or books published by navneet
