So adoption in India is a centralized process. It is through CARA organization. There have been numerous incidence earlier of adoption thru an orphanages in which the child is brutally abused. Last I read an Nri couple killed their adopted kid!

So the process is very very strict and through one organization. You can't just pick a child from an orphanage. The criteria is also v strict, they see parents age, why they want to adopt, financial stability, family background and a long wait.

There are many woman who are trying to adopt and it's not easy. The makers are so off from reality. Do absolutely no research.

They are ruining the show day by day.

I'm so glad somebody pointed this out!!

Yes! Adoption is a pretty long, time-consuming and effort-taking process!

As far as I know (the medico-legal aspects of Adoption as a Pediatrician) the central body is CARA (Central Adoption Resource Agency)

I'm not sure about Dhara organisation! (I'd love to know the details if you know more, my next novel is somehow related to this topic so I'm thorough with the research part and would like to add more of it could help me.)

Adoption is a Centralised process! Yes! CARA is a nodal body in India that looks after all the aspects of Adoption of Indian children in India and Abroad. It comes under women and child welfare section of Government of India.

It has laid about 11-12 eligibility criteria for the prospective adoptive parents (PAP's)

I'd like to disagree with your one point and that is the biological children. These criteria are irrespective of presence or absence biological children (son or daughter) even irrespective of their marital status!

A single parent can also adopt (given he/she is physically, mentally, emotionally and financially stable enough to help in the growth of adoptive child)

Although a single male parent can't adopt a girl child

A single female parent can adopt any gender.

A couple can only adopt after a stable marital life of 2 years! And if they have less than 4 biological children.

Likewise! Few more eligibility criteria are there.

This is again a very touchy topic and makers are again treading a path they won't be able to do complete justice with.

Also, Neither KinTosh nor MaAn have had a marriage of minimum 2 years to be eligible to adopt a child!

Pehle criteria hi fail hai!

Phew!

If anybody is interested, This is a screenshot from a standard reference pediatric textbook by author Piyush Gupta!

It has details about CARA and their eligibility criteria (what I was talking about)

Makers don't have time ki woh adoption ka ek ek cheek dikhatenge . Adoption ka real process dikhane chale to aise hi 100,200 episode nikal jaayenge phir itna drag karenge phir hum logo ko adoption track se irritation lagne lagegi kyonki use itna drag kiya jaayega just to show reality

Bus makers khuch basic difficulty basic process jo reality mein hota hai ad option process mein woh dikha dein

.

And I want always koi track shuru karinen to pehle to anupama ki theme se related hona chahiye aur uska proper execution hina chahhuye

Nahi yrh track bhi mujhe bis episode increase ke elawa kkhuch nahi lag raha hai

You are absolutely right. It's CARA, not sure why in my head it was stuck as Dhara. I will update the post.

Oh wow, thanks for correcting and providing correct information and facts about it.

It's a long and pretty strict process, right now the wait time is ~ 24 months.

The makers have absolutely lost it!

Completely agree that tracks must be related to the original theme.

In this case, if adoption is an arduous process and makers cannot afford to spend time showing every step of adoption, they must incorporate those dialogues/scene that indicate how the adoption was possible after a long struggle and going through that process.

I don't think they can just take a child they liked to a beach trip to please their fancy Can they?

Answer to the thread topic - of course makers have no clue about the process! 😳

The makers have absolutely lost it!

The wait is average around 8-10 months once all other eligibility criteria and passed and paper work is done!

I have had newborns coming to me till 1 year of age for vaccination and other issues (from NGO's and orphanages) before their adoption is finalized.
