I have quite a different interpretation, i just never said it. Didnt want to impose it then plus I couldnt find time to type and frankly was too lazy to to find the correct words to make myself understand.

Weeks back before ktk was aired or even started promoting or any teaser was out. There was a clip shared here, in which danish ne tere naam hindi movie pe react kiya and kuch shamsher se related bola. After that it was always in my head that both will die or even if one does dusra bhi kisi layak nai bachega, just like radhe went back to mental hospital after paying his respect to bhumi dead body.

I know the story aint same but dure antics of an innocent girl is quite same to bhumi the actor in tere naam. Dari si sehmi si, and she knew uske dad uski baat ek apne student se kar rahe hai shadi ki baat, uski bhi mangni type pakki thi the character played by ravi kissan. Frankly mujhe movie ab yaad nai hai but keeping such ending in my mind mujhe lyrics humesha sahi lage not the music not the voice though but i wont say that lyrics are all over the place. Meri aadat hai har cheez ko deep mein lejaane ki. Ek baari is thought proces se gana suno to lyrics are meaning ful.

I really dont think the song is completely on mehak. Mostly it is. Rulti maari maari is on mehak obviously.

But after diya jo zakham part, there comes the line teri manzil jhooti raah farebi, it is both mehak and shamsher talking about mohabbat that mohabbat hi bekar cheez hai because it has lot of pain, lot of hurdles, mohabbar hi farebi hai and koi manzil ni h mohabbat ki ya jhoothi manzil hai or etc.

At the end jab female singer has entered, i think the part sang by female is for mehak and part sung by rahR fateh ali is for shamsher after female voice is kicked in. Thats just my interpretation.

Dure saying again and again its a tragic lovestory.

Now coming back to tere naam the girl finally felt for salman character, radhe, because vo uski behen ka ghar bachata h uske jije ko dhamkata h and behen ko ek prostitute house se bhi bachata h, unknowingly that she is his love’s sister , he was not a bad guy dil se, so idk how redemption is going to happen but aisa kuch life changing harkat dikhayenge shamsher ki jisse mehak pighal jayegi because at the end of the day hai to lovestory hi.

It just struck me we were talking about Danny and about missing him and all of a sudden he posts a Shamsher video. He posts about his shows on the day of the telecast so basically...wtf is the telepathy or we are getting stalked 😆

I feel week 2 is much better to make an analysis of how shows are doing more than the pilot week.. cuz first week usually tells how much the marketing has worked and the "star power if its a massy project".

So based on that..

Mere Humsafar is obviously ahead in views and in trending. Although i don't think it trended this week here. But i noticed even mere Humsafar's views are reaching a target lil lower than the ramzan and pre ramzan period. Like it used to touch 20s. Now its touching around 18M before the next epi goes on air. I think for post ramzan new launch phase this is the norm. Like everything is slightly less than what it was usually. Still KTK is reaching 6 M short of Humsafar so far.. that too without trending in india. And the show is also newly launched, upar se itne saare bad reviews. I have never heard such bad reviews for a show man. tauba 😆 but yeah we cant even defend it anywhere 😆 . In fact even Dil awaiz is doing really well in terms of views as a daily.

TRP wise its Dil Awaiz giving takkar to ktk. The numbers are telling. Next i feel, pyaar deewangi hai has had the biggest jump this week. And also it has the most saas bahu plot ever. its like saas bahu ultra pro max. Whatever you name it. 😆 This one's trps are only gonna increase and increase..

Word of mouth wise: honestly every other show you name it has better word of mouth 🤣

Ashley, i feel, ktk has definitely taken a hit man, cuz of too much toxicity and everyone bashing it. Thats why it has come down to 7 from 8. I know those jalsa factors are also there but in ktk's case this seems the case. I feel trp audience saas bahu toxicity bardasht karlenge but yeh jo hero heroine harrasment hai, they wont be comfortable to watch as a family.

Mehak and Shamsher's so called date for me was out and out that tere naam wali actress vibe. I first saw it in the comments and then it just stayed in my mind. Even the action fight sequence in college, shamsher beating up and mehak looking at him like that then their convo. And yeah, like you say, the mangni scene is also fitting in.

People are saying its khaani 2, deewangi 2, amma is saying its Darrrr lol.. but other than the basic genre/premise of a toxic love story and you know those things im not finding it similar to any of the above. Mujhe sab se zyaada tere naam hi yaad ata hai. And cuz danish found the character shamsher bi polar, i dont know after that i have been thinking there is some plot of him losing hi mind or something for the ending or something of that sort somewhere ..

Haan mere humsafar didnt trend in India this week, probably the plot line is boring now or maybe stagnant so people didnt see it that crazily before.

I think of tere naam because danish hinted it. Yes every little details gives a feeling of tere naam, dure saying love story bahaut dard wali , dardnak, but mujhe lyrics ek dosre ke taraf itne direct nai lagte in extend version jitna its seems its altogether directed to love. Like in ishq hai, ishq hai and the lyrics ishq hai bas koi bhi sharte e wafa etc, the same way mohabbat farebi and jhoothi hai.

And the line you said , mere aansu tere daman se lipte hain but gira to nahin, means that my pain/my tears is hugging you types but still it didnt fall, to me it means they are together, no matter what the tragedy is or no matter how much pain each of them has given to each other respectively. Mehak will make shamsher cry or shamsher will make mehak cry but dono ek dosre ka daman nai chhodenge, daman se lipte hai mere ansun but whoever is saying to whoever, the other person didnt let the tear the first person’s tear fall, so I think they will have each other’s back.

To me it has stop giving kabir singh vibes because ladki interested nai hai, in kabir singh the girl gave in quite easily she wanted a guy who rules over him, that is not the case in KTK.
