Kalank was nearly the same story as What the Body Remembers by Shauna Singh Baldwin. KJo just stole the plot, didn't even bother changing characters' names.

Kiara is getting wasted in this kind of roles, if she wants to become a leading lady, she needs to stop with flower pot roles and choose something substantial.

There is no such official ban on Pakistani artists but yah then bhakts will boycott the movie and will label it anti national . Indian Punjabi movies are casting Pakistani actors and Indian Punjabi movies have started releasing in Pakistan too

The south movie I just heard about here. Not sure which one. But there is a scriptwriter, too, who actually mailed him this script looks like.

Kalank issue made some noise on Twitter because the author alerted her agent. Not sure what came of it after.

I just don't get why they're doing this. Why step on the little guy when you can afford to pay him?

That's such a generalization. Neetu has done her best in her teenage years to give some energy and zest to the teenybopper forgettable roles that she was being offered. Compare her performance to Shabana Azmi in Parwarish. Shabana is such a wet blanket while Neetu lights up the scenes she's in. Then again Neetu did a good job as the ambitious middle class wife in Do Dooni Char.

the movie looks good but these guys are so rich and yet can't afford to pay a few bucks to writers/singers and acquire the rights...smh

This seems like it could be promising, though I just hope it doesn't come out with a regressive "stay married no matter what" type of message at the end.

Also I just realised both the main plot and Anil's character are quite similar to DDD, so hopefully they will bring something different to the table whilst retaining the same kind of message.
