@wagle sir you have been very right about umran malik. He's absolutely devastating today against GT.
I assumed GT would loose and went to sleep but they won . What a thriller it must have been.
Yes Rashid thwacked two biggies off the last two deliveries ... GT are now at No 1 position . And their Captain is Ex- Mumbai Indians 🙏Originally posted by: mishkil88

Pl note two quick facts...
1. SRH have never won a game chasing anything more than 180+ nor defending a score 180+ ...
2. Observe all GT wins ... Each time a new player comes to the fore and scores big ... Miller, Saha ,tewetia ,pandya, Gill have all till now played big in their matches won so far...
This trend was something Mumbai used to practice when they won titles ...
somehow MI have never been playing like champions even when they were winning. IMO.Originally posted by: Arjunwagle

The consistency of CSK till 2020 was amazing. CSK have played like Australians - very clinical sweep. And credit goes to only one man - the great Dhoni for that . MI winning was like radat khadat semi paryant pochle ani kase tari jinkle 😆.
MI was known to puncture reputed teams after play offs . MI would usually peak in their performance after play offs ...
Twice in finals Malinga and Rohit have snatched victory from CSK which were consistent...Mumbai wrecked the famed delhi batting line up in semis in 2020...
MI are known to create upsets in finals and have the last laugh ...
Sadly all gone ...Today they are not even a pale shadow of what they were ....
The man with No Haters! DK
The story of Dinesh Karthik is amazing.
He was doing very well and was the 2nd wkt keeper to MS in the Indian team and was captain of TN.
His teammate Murali Vijay was having an affair with his wife and the entire TN Ranji team knew this but not DK.
Finally one day she told him she was pregnant carrying Murali Vijay's child and wanted a divorce.
They had a divorce and she moved in with Murali who was opening for CSK and India and doing well.
DK was shattered, went into a deep depression, grew a beard, became a Devdas, his performance dipped, and he was dropped from the India squad.
He started failing in Ranji and lost his captaincy to Murali Vijay. He started failing in IPL too and was so depressed felt let down by his Ranji teammates and wanted to commit suicide. He stopped going to the gym.
His trainer visited him in his house and found DK in a complete mess. He insisted Dk start his training again and got him back to the gym where he was training Deepika Pallikal also.
Shocked to see him in a sorry state she started counselling him along with the trainer and slowly he started training. Both started working out like maniacs.
Murali Vijay married his wife but started failing, was first dropped from the Indian team and later from CSK also.
Meanwhile encouraged by Deepika, DK started nets and scored heavily in the domestic matches.
He was back in the reckoning, was again selected for white-ball cricket for India and became the captain of KKR. He married Deepika.
However, after a few years, Rishab came and took his place.
At 34 he knew his time was up and he was dropped from KKR as captain. He wanted to retire and just play IPL.
His wife got pregnant and they had twins. She also stopped playing.
His dream was to own a luxurious house which he got as an offer at Poes garden. It cost a lot and he was not too sure if he could afford it.
Deepika said grab it, we will both come back. She started training along with DK. They bought the palatial house in Poes garden.
Deepika played the world championship at Glasgow in squash 6 months after delivery and won both the mixed doubles and women's double.
An energised father, now DK started kicking ass.
Hope he makes it this time once again!!
