Yes everytime ar do any kaand by default ak is made part of it so that she can get sympathy and akshra is bashed for being supporting her which is a major writing flaw. despite this Ar is still hated by masses of course there are few who sympathise with her , dont even want o comment on that. People dont understand the gravity to which ak has been conditioned and for that matter kairav too , its seems their only motto in sirat's life was to create them as sheild to her own brat daughter. mothers like sirat prove why step mom cant take place of real mother and then we have step mothers like ishita how show how step moms can be more right than real mother. sad realites

But how does making Akshu a part of the kaand make the audience more sympathetic towards Aaru? For example, having Akshu in the car accident doesn’t make people more sympathetic towards Aaru as most recognize how irresponsible driving under the influence was and how she showed criminal intent whereas Akshu never did. The mistakes Akshu made are mostly different than Aaru, so any overlapping blame is minimal.

I think after 10 novels and 2 movie scripts, I know how character growth is written, my dear. :)

My issue is with the story line and tracks that seem to have lost connect with the characters. Maybe because of multiple writers handling things, I don't know. Leads of the story need not be perfect. That would make a boring story, IMO.

And the way this story is going, I can see Akshara's character growth going in either one of the two ways:

1. She would be torn and wanting to choose the sister yet unable to, for whatever reason, until the adoption track or whatever comes out. Maybe writers are keeping her in this - dola re dola state so that it would give max impact on the audience when she chooses Abhi in that moment.

2. If there is no adotion track, this will continue and slow change after marriage will be shown.

Neither option appeals to me - not as a writer, not as a viewer.

All that aside, this accident track has completely put me off the show for one simple reason - FL crossed the line in her love for her sister and her desire to protect her.

@Bold - I have no issues with her thinking. But in all that thinking, never once the thought popped into her head - he could have lost his mom because of Aru and me. What he is asking is fair. It hurts me but it's the least I could do. Or... oh why didn't I stop and check!

Instead there is hope that once he cools down, he would forgive Arohi and let her be a part of the wedding. She, who has lost not one but two mothers, to get that thought or even think in that direction does not make any sense to me.

I agree with you. I would have liked if FL would have realized that she should have checked accident site and the person is not cancelling her sisters license or sending her to jail. Just asking to stay away from marriage. So she could have nicely sat with Aaro and made her understand that. He could have lost her mom.

What I do not like is sometimes they show angry face of Akshu on aaro and very next moment she is super sweet to her. Firstly she should know whatever happened one sister did very wrong and other supported her and past cannot be changed so let's handle the future. Anyways in this serial things change very fast any character can get Amnesia anytime. so I won't be surprised if things get paused until wedding and we will see maybe completely new track.

Hope you writers are still ok with conflicting thoughts though we are not completely conflicting each other here :)

@Green - even if she hadn't done any of those things, gone to him singing that song and then told him - I'm so sorry for what happened, I understand your feelings, I shouldn't have done what I did, thank you for asking for so little in return - I would have been more than happy. The behaviour that is showing that Abhi is the one being harsh on both the sisters is what is not sitting well with me. But anyway, as you said - amnesia seems to be the common problem for the writers. Wish they gave that ability to us too, so we can forget the previous day's episode and watch the new one with a fresh mind 😆

@Blue - Of course!! Conflicting thoughts are what give out the best results. My partner / editor and I, while writing a story fight like crazy. Each of us has a point and neither willing to let go. And that's when we get to find the best middle ground. So please don't worry about it.

No worries at all. I've been in various forums long enough to hold a friendly debate without taking any offence (and hopefully without offending anyone). It took me a few months before I could view both the story and the characters of a show or a book with an impartial / neutral eye instead of letting myself be drawn towards one particular. And that does tend to draw flak because there are fans for both the actors and characters.

I usually watch any show for the first 100 episodes (IF I like the beginning). After that, I go by the belief that the show enters the TRP race which usually means ta ta bye bye to storyline and characterization.

Haven't watched the previous seasons of this show. I appreciate Harshad as an actor. Watched that "kyu" scene before the confession first, interest sparked and went back to watch the previous episodes. Now I lost the interest. I watch basing on the WU and some of the posts made here. This is the most neutral thread I found so... here I am :)

Oh I'm not offended at all 🤣 I'm actually confused by why u said that cause I didn't see anything hurtful. In my opinion, everyone in this thread has contributed wonderfully to a respectable discussion.

Also wouldn't call me a writer. I'm just a student and all my contributions on the forum and Wattpad since September are an exercise in learning and fun!

But once they saw how naturally this work came to me (I was my school's delegated panic attack support system and mentor health guide), they just advised me on how to best carry myself in this work.
2. They were both science teachers - one taught biology and the other physics - and I was one of the highest performers in the department so they were very sad to let me go into the social sciences when I had a great career here too. I felt similarly so I decided to add a neuroscience minor to my degree to keep to those biology roots.

I can understand why your teachers were worried. Social work does tend to drain a person out because emotions are strongly involved there and it's not an easy task to do the work passionately yet remain detached. But as long as you are able to compartmentalize yourself and get proper downtime, you're in good shape.

Neuroscience minor. That's going to be pretty demanding. But good choice. All the very best.

Her way of dealings things is slow and until hands totally are burnt she won't touch water . One step ahead for her thinking thru heart and two backwards for her mind. @blue - And you are absolutely right. Sisters are alike in a lot of ways. They team up and hide things from the rest of the family / world. Sirat's promise makes Arohi use Akshara as her shield and the same promise makes Akshara face the bullets with nary a second thought.
