Monu helping Balli to walk and they are running away from Charu and Gang. Charu sees the fire Monu had made and also recognizes the black clothe as Balli's. She thinks he ran away because he over heard that they are going to kill him. But also identifies that Balli was following them. In any case she wants to find him as soon as possible.
Monu and Balli trying to find the "North" direction as she has seen the hi-way towards north. She uses the compass on her mobile where as Balli stares at sky. Looking at moon he identifies the north and so does Monu at same time. They find the road and one truck full of folk dancers.
Balli lies to them saying that they are lovers and ran away from home as the family did not understand their love. The folk people agree to take them into truck but then Charu and goon comes. Charu insists on checking truck and all were doing same when they heard police siren and run away. In reality it was one of the folk people's kid who plays the sound to scare charu and gang away.
They all settles in truck and leave. Monu finds signal to cell and calls Sanju/Sid to pick them up. Balli keeps admiring Monu , the way she saved him the way she was playing with kid. Then they have "Yuhi chala chal rahi" from swadesh song in the truck. Where Balli sings. The folk lady offers them food in same plate but as Balli knows Monu will not eat from same plate tells that he is not hungry and only Monu will eat. She eats peacefully.
They get off truck at some point. Sanju/Sid comes to pick them up. Sid try to understand what happened to them but both Monu and Balli gives vague answers. And they return back to academy
In Batra sir's room he scolds both Monu and Balli for their irresponsible behavior. Balli tries to take Monu's side by saying this al "syapa" was his and not Monu's. She has saved his life. On asking whether somebody saw both of you together he says one of the person did but then "hale to jameen de 2 foot niche gada hai. Saujanya Monami Mahajan" (I still cant get over this line 🤣)
Batra somehow calms down and asks Balli to leave. When he does, he tells team why this mission is so important. For nation, for academy, for them and for Karan.
Monu is shown thinking to herself that tomorrow either she will avenge Karan's death, find out Param's truth or die doing the same,
Precap : Monu Sanju ustadjee getting ready for mission along with Batra sie. Balli comes. Sir asks what are you doing here. he says I want to be with you all. Monu's bulletproof jacket's zip gets stuck to which Balli is helping. Monu asks "you are free to go why you are here". And Balli just stares at her.

What I do agree that they're trying to show is that Balli isn't a bad person. He isn't a ruthless killer who doesn't care about anyone, and he does genuinely feel guilty about what had happened, although he doesn't believe he was responsible for Karan's death.Considering Balli the character is portraying what the writers write, it is the writer's/maker's interpretation, vision, call it what you will that we see in the character on screen.
I hope there is something we agree, right?
Now what does one make out of the makers' interpretation when a character is justifying his actions or there are scenes written where there is reference to new being good if not the best?
I don't want him to move on with Monami either. Like, I can understand Balli falling for Monami but not Monami falling for him. She can learn to respect him, tolerate him, but that's about it.
Balli-Charu ki chemistry sahi hai, par yeh kabhi nahi hoga. Aur agar Balli-Charu hota, toh Charu Balli ko villain banaati, not the other way around.

My Balli-Charu combo was wishful thinking and as they say, if wishes were horses.......

1. If there is a need to have a female lead for Balli, then may be Charu and Not Monami.
2. If Balli is not bad but a victim of circumstances, then by the same yardstick, Charu is not bad but has been fed into hate over time, isnt it?

I have almost found them to be pretty realistic. Sab apne baare mein "sahi" opinions nahi banaate hain. Balli apne aap se toh justify karega hi ki usne jo kara, the circumstances leading to Karan's death, wo uske kaaran nahi tha, because he's someone jisko logon ko maarne se darr lagta hai, logon ki maut ka kaaran banne se darr lagta hai.
He doesn't want to be a killer. Isliye usne apne aap ko yeh justify kara ki use yeh nahi pata tha ki wo Karan ko maar denge, isliye he's innocent.
Not everyone is like Karan jo iss guilt mein paagal ho raha tha ki uski wajah se kisi ke sapne tut gaye, even if it was an accident. [Gunshot track]
Balli kya feel karta hai apne baare mein, wo important nahi hai, for the storyline. I mean, hai, par utna important nahi hai jitna yeh hai ki baaki academy waale Balli ke liye kya feel karte hain.
I find Balli's justification to himself pretty realistic. He did try his best to save Karan, but on the other hand, he accepted money and went to the academy to imitate Karan. Use bhi yeh pata tha ki Karan ko wahan par torture kar rahe hain, tab usne kuchh nahi kaha. Par wo yeh sab ignore kar raha hai because wo khud ko yeh justify karna chahta hai ki wo ek bura insaan nahi hai.
Mera yeh matlab tha ki tumne kaha tha, na, ki Balli Charu ko "transform" kar dega. Toh agar Balli-Charu ka love track dikhaate toh yeh dikhaate ki Charu ke pyaar mein, Balli terrorists se milkar academy waalon ko maarega, naa ki Charu ko academy waalon ki side par lekar jaayega, because her hatred is pretty ingrained.

1. I agree! Par Balli ke liye naa hi karein, toh hi better hai. Mujhe tab achha laga tha jab Charu aur Balli ka jhagda hua tha, aur usne uski t-shirt kaat di thi. Superb chemistry. But tab bhi main zyaada interested nahi thi un dono ka love track dekhne mein, aur really, Balli ka kisi ke saath bhi.
If anything, I would rather see Balli starting to care for the academy and Monami, because he starts to admire the strength (rather than falling in love or anything.) A PLATONIC admiration for the agents, and especially Monami.
2. Yeh sahi-galat ke chakkar mein hi nahi padna maine. Mujhe lagta hai ki yeh war hoti hai. Aur war mein kabhi koi sahi ya galat nahi hota hai. Sirf ek side par hota hai ya doosri.
As for the whole "haalat ka maara" and all, wo toh sabke liye applicable hai, na? Sab apne aap ko toh justify kar hi lete hain.
When it comes to wars, morals bahut kam dekhe jaate hain. Sahi, galat, achha, bura, bahut kam dekhte hain. Yeh dekha jaata hai ki kisko use kar sakte hain ki war jeet jaayein. Academy Balli ko use kar sakti hai, isliye kar rahi hai. RPF Balli ko use kar sakti thi jeetne ke liye, isliye unhone kara.
I think to make is simple : Balli is good guy (not moralistic/ Adarsh banda like Karan) but a good guy jo behek gaya. And he thought thing would be pretty simple , academy jao info leke aao...meanwhile have fun phir baat khatam.
but it was like that meme "That escalated pretty quickly" and he did not anticipate this to happen. And till that time he have not seen the real Monu or real academy people.
when he saw them he only felt love and care. the basic thing that he can feel that says he is good person just messed up pretty badly.
one decision of his resulted into so many life's getting destroyed. and he knows that.... though he is not directly culprit for Karan;s death he lead to it. He knew it. Hence he is sticking with academy now.
And regarding Balli's love interest. he does not need any. i feel eventfully he is going to get killed saving Monu. bcoz he genuinely love her and respect her. 💔
Main, as characters, unke responses soch rahi hoon, whether from a character's pov or a storyline's pov, wo justify hai ya nahi, which I find to be true. Tum writers ki baat kar rahi ho, so I guess tum kisi aur angle se soch rahi ho.
Yeh sahi-galat mein padna hi nahi mujhe. Bahut philosophical baat ho jayengi, jiske liye bahut mehnat karni padegi, aur main ek bahut lazy bandi hoon, isliye yeh waala topic yahin chod dete hain.
Mostly, though, I do agree with you, about 99%. Ab yeh mat puchhna yeh figure kahan se aayi, koi calculations nahi hai, andaaza hai.
