- oh manh. Where & when did this scene happened? I haven't seen it. What did you think his facial expressions & body language or tone in that sequence? This doesn't sound nice. Was it exactly same as he did for Sai? He was pretty close to Sai when he did that if i remember correctly especially the second accident I think he was on her bed I think. First accident ka thoda sa yaad nehi.

I don't think he prayed for Shruthi twice...just that once before her delivery

I don't exactly remember...I think he adjusted her pillow and then held her hand to help her lie down...this was when the family came to confront Shruthi I think. It wasn't same at all...like in Sai's second accident. But it was unecessary..they could have shown him calling for the nurse.

I could not take the Shruthi track seriously becuase it was patchy and full of loopholes. Starting with the timing. The surmise of the plot is that Virat got hurt and disillusioned with his best friend because his best friend believed he fell in love with and married someone - it is as silly as that.

They wanted to show Virat traumatized due to killing his own friend...but such a traumatized person is more likely to break down when his wife is suspecting him..rather than agreeing to a divorce in a jiffy. So too many logical plot holes.

This track in its essence was not bad - if they had written & executed it well.....and actually put a little more effort...even to pull off a typical ITV plot...but Vanku's ideas are beyond me.

There was definitely difference in the way Virat was worried for Shruthi's operation and the way he was completely devastated at Sai's accident. That breakdown at the hospital was for Sai as well as his own emotional exhaustion as a consequence. I did not find it wrong at all. The cringey scenes are best forgotten. And Neil needs to bring more restraint/formality in his body language towards Pakhi & Shruthi...he has to absolutely correct it...it gives a different impression about the character.

Coming to Neil, yes, he has his limitations while portraying complex, mixed emotions. But I believe that his subdued reactions was a creative call by the makers...to show him at first traumatized, and then later on to show him disillusioned/disenchanted with relationships.....which would facilitate weeks of Virat 2 version - hurt, pathar dil, withdrawn. But the writing did not really support this narrative - it was all over the place. Nor did he seem to get any support from the creatives themselves. I generally give leeway to daily soap actors - its not everyone's cup of tea and everyone may not be able to adjust to crazy change in character/plot in a short time. He was getting slightly better towards the end of the track. Also, I think he himself was sick of the track. 😆

All this is totally my personal opinion only.

- I didn't get this part.

The track even could've been better than KD with angst if they executed it well but it just kept putting the ML in awkward scenes with 3rd angle, degraded his character so much it shooed away audience that hardly anyone wants or cares about their romance or wanting Sai to end up with him or see her with him.

Ikr I don't think it's fully script but major failure on part of Neil too. Cus of him it gives a different impression of his character although in reality intention may not be same or should be deemed as. Yes. in the recent scene with Pakhi. He was tad better in his body language than his earlier scenes. One scene which I despise a lot was when Virat had sneakily grabbed Pakhi's hand to stop her from disclosing his birthday surprise for Sai's & to act along with them. It was so unnecessary and came off in such a wrong way since Sai was also present there. These are the reasons I had gotten over SaiRat ages ago 🤪

Well i read in an IV he had said Shruti & Virat scenes are one of the most interesting scenes for audience lmao. I guess except SaiRat scenes he feels this way for everything else

And yes in that context, a Marathi manus like V will not work like that. Men, generally of a particular age group do not talk freely to women even if they are related and maintain a significant distance. It's a cultural sort of thing.

For example, my FIL would in initial days would not speak directly to me.. would ask through my husband. Neither would my father be talking to his DIL. In such case, physical touch would be a complete odd happening.

But as a Maharashtrian, I chose to ignore this because many aspects of ghum are not of Marathi culture. It's just a trope they use. There is nothing that screams Marathi for me in Chavans.

Only good thing is ghum hasn't typecasted Chavans as poor, service class, naukarani kind of family the way Bollywood does. 🤣

Ghum is literally sasta version of bhojpuri film.. That's what I felt throughout the time.. Shruti track was super cringe.. So when Virat constantly harping on his dukh daard and peeda did not reflect during his stay with shruti.. A lot of scenes gives you the vibes as if he is moving on with shruti..

During the second operation he looked unaffected when sai got to know the truth.. Neil was so bad even the writing was terrible.. They highlighted Sai's pain rather Virat's who was ready to live with his wife just as a friend.. All he wanted her companionship..

Virat and Sai say lot of things in their hurt and anger with zest but their hearts really have something else! Mind Vs heart dilemma. Essentially after all that he just didn’t anticipate Divorce, is what I meant.

Realistically that’s what happens between husband and wife…. Sometimes we are just so out of our minds we say or blurt out things we don’t actually want to happen.

Even in current track I have a feeling he is loving that he is getting all the attention from Sai. He could have asked Sai to leave the house and his life coz he is SO broken! BUT he hasnt !!!! are his harsh words towards Sai justified - no! That’s why I am glad they showed Sai’s breakdown too infront of Aaba. Then Devi tai scene!
I also feel somewhere Virat wants Sai to hold off his transfer but abhi pura gussa utrah nahi hai.

He had said about stop pursuing to Shruti I think.

Which night scene?

Virat did tell Sai to leave the house & his life many a times in this track tho although idk if meant it truly

I mean that too after everything all the revelation of child, wife etc? Gosh. Why would he do something that would make Sai's opinion & doubt on the whole thing stronger? He's so messed up in head!!!

All the 3rd angles of KD/Ghum except RK were pathetic & gave outright sleazy lusty vibes. RK's scenes, behaviour, tone, body language, interactions with Ronno never gave that vibe to me...
