i briefly saw yesterday's episode for 2 mins - appu was speaking with 4 poor children and her mom anjali asking her what nonsense is this.

I guess the producers have given liberty to Sharad Ponkshe considering his busy schedule to skip the shoots at his will. Otherwise main host (kutumb pramukh) cannot be absent in some of the important family events. Don't know if his original bengali counter part is there on those occasions or not.

I started watching Thipkyanchi Rangoli last month and I don't think I've had such conflicting thoughts about a show in a while. There are some elements of the show that I like and some that I find absolutely ridiculous.

The ensemble cast chock-a-block with experienced actors and the chemistry between Apoorva and Shashank is certainly pleasing and at times enough to be invested in the story and the show. The lead actors are doing a good job with the material they have. The younger actors who play siblings to Shashank are also decent but they don't have a lot to do, given the nature of the show.

However, I find certain situations too simplistically resolved and really naive and they waste an entire episode on such issues, eg. Sumi leaving the Kanitkar house lasted the whole 20 minutes.

I also find Shashank's character too one dimensional, it almost feels as if he cannot have a conversation with Apoorva or anyone else for that matter, without inserting the words discipline, Krish and majja masti. I did find Apoorva to be a bit too high pitched for my taste, but I'm warming up to her bit by bit. I find Apoorva and Netra's characters to be the most realistic of the lot because one can almost argue for or against them in a convincing manner.

I guess the most endearing aspect of the show for me is the cast and the fact that no one and I repeat, no one is a complete villain, which gets rid of those stereotypical vampish characters whom we all know too well. And I just absolutely adore Leena Bhagwat! She breathes life into her characters so effortlessly, I'm constantly reminded of her Supriya Kaku in Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta, she's just unforgettable.

Today's episode was a filler and that march to Kuki's office looked foolish and laughable to say the least.

I FF and finished it in 3-5 minutes. childish and foolish but the conversation where appu says kukii cha boss la kidnap karu aanik ransom madhe transfer cancelation was very natural.

many times this kinda conversation does flow naturally in the families.

@bold - true, I agree. But the difference is that in Appu's case, she might actually make it happen.😆
