I...liked today's episode. It was both well written, executed and wasn't completely filler. In fact, it felt like the characters actually knew what they were doing for a change.
The case wrapped up pretty nicely with the couple understanding what it means to find balance and give each other personal space. Though, like anee mentioned the wife's perfect partner image should have been talked about. But that's okay, cause I think they ultimately understood the message. Relationships take time to build and need nurturing with can be done with enough love and assurance.
Now on to the main bulk of the episode, the amnesia.
I love how Karishma has finally realised that this was non-other than haseena malik. she even went as far as to tell the amnesic patient off on her face. she stood firm with her decision no matter what the rest said. I am so delighted to see her back in action with the chasing scene on her bike/foot- daroga Ji is back in action. I appreciated how haseena got back a flash of her actual identity right in the spot where the hug first happened. it's a neat detail. karishma doesn't have concrete proof as of yet and she is already pissed off, rightfully so. when the amnesic patient actually recovers is when she's going to go berserk. also, worth mentioning that she solved the case independently. 👏
but urmilla really needs to tone it down. I get that she doesn't remember anything now but that getting her pushcart back/beating up the drunk man part was still irritating- for me at least.
I was expecting Pushpa Ji or my masumiyat to give a good comeback to her when she was calling them useless (yes, it's partially true but self-respect dude.). BUT, this leads me to the highlight of the episode- more of like a personal epiphany moment but you get the point...I hope you do.
they didn't respond with a witty/snarky/sarcastic comeback because somewhere deep down they do think this could be haseena- they wouldn't disrespect her intentionally.
Pushpa Ji, Santosh and cheetah are truly conflicted- they don't know what to believe. I used to say that as an insult to their intelligence but today, I use it as a statement of my understanding of their state of mind.
I had theorised this wayyyyyy back in another thread. now, I think it wasn't complete gospel.
the madam sir they love, respect, adore and know wouldn't betray them. they believe that woman is not capable to commit an act that is a breach of their trust. to them, if this person is really haseena malik, she would have told them- this is their faith. Pushpa Ji said something along the lines of haseena will not betray them. through this, she once again reiterates the unending conviction she has in haseena and her morals. rather than accepting that madam sir intentionally trampled on their trust, they chose to believe in an act that if true, won't cause pain.
it's not they dont believe that this isn't haseena, it's that they dont want to believe that this is haseena.
the conversation between Karishma and cheetah helped me put things into perspective for me. "thank chuke hain hum." as a viewer I am well beyond my tolerance level. these characters have been living with this woman who is a look-alike of a near and dear one. they watch her every day and remind themselves that this isn't haseena. they are tired of putting up with their charade -pretending that everything is perfect when in actuality, nothing has been the same for the last three months. they know sooner or later it's going to end and when it does, it's going to hurt. but this uncertainty -who this person actually is- has served as the last straw. this is their breaking point, this is rock bottom for them.
it's no longer about who is right or wrong. it's about what the cost of this whole conflict going to be. Karishma is not wrong in wanting to prove that this is haseena because she is right. but neither are the other three wrong where they stand and in wanting to move on.
they are dealing with it in their own ways. Karishma supposedly spent all her time and energy looking for the killers. Pushpa Ji spent her time looking after them and particularly Karishma. cheetah and Santosh...I dont really know cause they didn't spend much time on it but I will take silence as their way of coping.
my point here is that everyone has a right to their pain. we don't have the authority to dictate how they should deal with it.
on that note, this conflict here is great. the character dynamics are changing, their opinions are differing adn they are no longer puppets. I hope this continues and they take a stand of their own rather than play sides when the truth is out.
I legitimately feel hopeful that we are gonna get a proper confrontation between MPT with all the trust talks going on.
also, is it just me or does it feel like they are setting up something for cheetah as well with the constant reminder that he has drowned in a lake of asshiqui?
or you know, everything I've written sown is made overthinking.
