Beyond the box office, one major thing TKF has achieved is that it got people talking about a sordid tale of barbarism that took place in our own backyard. People just don't realize how difficult it was to release a film that's brutally honest, strictly avoids the romanticism of terrorism, and doesn't cater to the established narrative...rather destroys it. The entire opposition and its media is up in arms against the film. That's telling.

Moreover, you think only the stories of Kashmiri Hindus were censored? Nope. Just Google the horrors that took place in Ajmer in the early 90s. It was India's Rotherham scandal. Hundreds of teenagers were sexually assaulted, photographed, and blackmailed by a gang led by the Khadims who run the dargah. The local authorities were aware of it but no action was taken because the accused were associated with the dargah, were influential, and also the members of congress (surprised?). It was argued that any action could result in communal riots. The editor of a local daily finally broke the story to prompt the authorities to take action. I'm mentioning this incident because the pattern of crimes being brushed under the carpet to protect secularism is eerily similar. I notice the same shit in propaganda articles trashing TKF and accusing it of spreading hate and divide.

Why should victims be forced to suffer in silence for politicians and their media puppets to further their careers?

TKF is a brave attempt. Period. Ofcourse, congress being out of power helps. It wouldn't have allowed the film to be made.

If anything can be destroyed by the truth, it was never worth protecting. Period.

That was Sofia college and the editor of the local newspaper who leaked that story died under 'mysterious circumstances'. 🙁

That's just a synonym for political murder.
