Oh i remember that show from childhood. We just loved that show and Renuka's warm smile too...

Anyways I've seen a few clippings of the aftermath of the real Nadimarg massacre and just could not share it here bcos they were so graphic and heart wrenching....😢

Watched the movie last night, felt numb by the end of it. For the first time ever, a movie that highlights the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri Pandits that makes no apologies, showing the sheer brutality and horror that was inflicted on them, without whitewashing, downplaying the events, or trying to rationalise and humanise these b*stard terrorists.

The usual Islamist-Leftist nutjobs in the media, and their sympathisers on this forum reacting in the scummy way they are, was to be expected, they are losing their hold on the narrative. It's just sad that something like this was swept under the carpet, and it's taken this long for someone to make a movie and get people talking, to think what was shown was just the tip of the iceberg!

I feel that the thread's title isn't correct as the author analyses the motivation of those who are responsible for this movie. He rightly differs between "good propaganda" and "bad propaganda" and this movie indeed is done with "bad propaganda". It doesn't incite the masses to use their mind/brains to think about what exactly happened at that moment in history. The movie predominantly plays to people's emotions that outrightly are directed against people with a certain religon.

The time the movie released, the way the movie was praised by the ruling party and the climate of hatred (equally supported by the ruling party) inhibits every dialogue between the two communities the movie juxtaposes in opposition, a dialogue that - with a "good propaganda"- could probably bring justice (and not unabashed violence).

It is also "bad propaganda" because the hype surrounding the movie divert attention and thoughts from things that reflect badly on the ruling party (or are - at least - very suspicious).

Its obvious websites like print, scroll & wire etc will dislike TKF. Next what? Rana Ayyub, Arfa khanum Sherwani, Saba Naqvi or swara bhaskar dislike TKF? 🤓

NDTV ne to movie bina dekhe hi propaganda movie bulana shuru kar diya tha.

But the public reaction proves that they don't give two hoots about the 'opinions' of such sources.
