How far will you go to defend terrorism?

Oh keyboard warrior! You need to calm down and read the posts properly before attacking people. Sitting 7 seas away and typing away anonymously must be a great way to release your frustration and a great time pass as well without lifting even a finger to help the actual victims. You must be thinking, wah kya acha kiya aaj...I attacked some random people on the internet today..aaj ke quota ka kranti hogaya! 😆

I wasn’t trying to defend anything. I was saying this is how people lose themselves in their communal hatred and create tragedies like the Kashmiri Pandits’ exodus. Isn’t that why the KPs had to leave their homes, because of the communal hatred of their fellow Kashmiris?

This is just destroying the entire ecosystem India was known of or took pride for. 🤔 The current Govt. is 1000% successful at fooling the average people divering all issues around religion, making it a big deal that it’s really not, so that people don’t question the things like how in the same year Adaani can grow his property twice or thrice where a good amount of middle class people are brought down to poor class. Such disconnect. People mistaking Adani’s tremendous growth as ‘India’s’.

Instead of discussing Corruption and unemployment, the middle aged uncle is so worked up on 1990 incident as if that is what is holding us back from dominating the world map. I fail to understand the source behind this immense hatred towards another countrymen while it couldn’t be clearer who or what are the roots of the problems, and never bother to question them. The slavery mentality makes me puke. 🤢

So are you trying to say that we should all forget the past and sweep atrocities under the rug? Especially for a community who has been suffering persecution for 30+years?

No. I am saying spare the same amount of energy and frustration asking the questions to the Govt, instead of to fellow countrymen. I am asking to spare the same amount of time and energy on asking other equal or MORE important questions that factors the usual livelihood of a person. Somebody asked some question in a thread (sorry cant remember which thread) why there is special law for different communities in secular India. Correct. Make sure to ask this question to the current Govt. and not the opposition (who are not in power since last several years now) who poses as if it’s trying to restore the secular version in a correct non-appeasing way, but hasn’t done a SINGLE thing to change those laws in last 7 yrs. So much for being in the power with majority.

I dont feel angry at any of my misguided misinformed fellow countryman anymore. It’s just pity that how despite all education and intellect, people can fall prey to false dangerous journalism and compromised system. Never realized brainwashing can be this dangerous. I am scared to see the video of uncle shouting like a mad man in the video against liberals and seculars. I am not a muslim, but being a liberal, I’d be scared to my death before visiting such ecosystem with people having such misplaced anger.

Asking questions to the government is important, but not when a community is rejoicing at having their pains addressed in a movie. Yes, this government has failed and faltered on several counts, but is this the right time to discuss them instead of focusing on what the film is about? Also, many liberals are trying to insult and demean the movie on social media, like that deranged moron Abhishek Baxi on Twitter (whose link Aaditi posted). People like them, who lack empathy and are calling the movie propaganda, deserve to be trashed and struck down.

If this is not the time to question the Govt., then it’s not the time to question liberals and seculars also. A civilian doesn’t have the responsibility to restore the balance in the society. Liberals and seculars, hindus, muslims are normal civilians. Good VA made the movie, he has all the right in the world to do so, and from the review the movie seems to be a well-researched, well-made movie. I hope this makes a superhit and triggers people to read more om this. But instead of questioning Avishek Baxi (who honestly I dont know that is, or what he said, my apologies running short on time), it’s time to question Govt. who needs to produce progress reports on helping the KPs back as they claim to do. If Govt provided 1 statistics in 7 yrs, then question on the follow up, or ask to share the plan. The anger, the constant questioning needs to be directed at the Govt, because that is working towards solution. After all they have been voted to serve and answer to public. Why what Abhishek Baxi or Mr. XYZ says should matter or be the focal point of discussion ? Only if you could see how the current Govt is playing EVERY damn person in the country by making them fight with each other. Divide and rule at its best display.

Anyways, have a good day. Have to go. GN !

Just my two cents I want to share.

What the Kashmiri Pandits faced was not an exodus, it was a genocide. They only left the Valley because they feared for their lives. And because they refused to let go of their religious identity. Those who have watched the film are aware of the slogan used by extremists...which haunts the KPs till date.

Honestly, mujhe sab pe bahot gussa aata hai when I think about this. How the hell did the government- ruling and opposition- not do anything? Why was there no military action taken?

I was not born when this happened, but People of India, were you f**king sleeping when citizens of your own country were subjected to such atrocities?! Whether you were Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian...everyone's read the National Pledge, right?

"India is my country. And All Indians are my brothers and sisters. I love my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage."

Where was the bhaichara then? Aren't KPs a part of our rich and varied culture?

Till date, so many KP friends of mine and their families want to visit their homeland, but many are still haunted by what happened. I've seen them break down, remembering the horrors. What haunts them even more is that no one did shit for them at the time, and even now, some pseudo-journalists find excuses and ways to manipulate the narrative. They have great respect for Balasaheb Thakarey though.

Regarding this topic, good if they met the PM. Every movie needs that push for publicity so there is no harm if they met Modiji. At least the current govt (I don't forget anyone's sloppiness during the genocide, fyi) scrapped Article 370, which is a move towards the right direction.

And to every member of the forum, if we do not learn from our past, then our futures are dark. What I mean by that is this should not repeat itself or happen to any community. I had met many Germans when I was a student abroad, most of them young (in their 20s). Today if they condemn what generations before them did and are ashamed of what happened, then we can do it too.

I personally don't have the heart to watch the movie, but I bought tickets for my house helps who wanted to watch it. And everyone who can watch it, please do. See right and wrong for what it truly is.

Yes, its extremely important to address absolutely false claims like Indian economy is booming under Modi or MMS was in cahoots with the Separatists.

Celebrating is great, Modi meeting the makers is fine too but when you start sprouting fake BS....then it needs to be cleared. There's already enough brainwashed junkies in this country, we don't need a single more whose unaware of the facts.

Dont blame TKF for doing this photoOP.

It is VERY CLEAR who would have initiated this photo-op in the first place.

Wohi aadmi jo kaam kare ya na kare, credit lene ke liye line mein sabse aage khada rehta hai. He rushed to grab this perfect photo op moment to imprint his name with the success of TKF team.

I am sure in his next election speech he will say, no filmmaker had the guts to make such a movie while congress was ruling and only our supreme leader has enabled such an atmosphere where such movies can now be made.

What's the economy got to do with the movie?
