The Kashmir Files Emerges A HIT

The Kashmir Files has emerged a HIT film and may go anywhere as it records excellent collections on Saturday. The collections on Saturday will be 6 crore nett and maybe even higher depending on the evening and night shows. The film has made huge ground compared the morning and evening collections on Friday.

The comparative figures are more than double and even 150% places though this sort of growth is unlikely in the evening shows as Friday evening had good collections itself. The Kashmir Files has a huge contribution from Mumbai, Delhi NCR and East Punjab and all these places have shown huge growth.

The film is the third HIT film post the pandemic after Sooryavanshi and Gangubai Kathiawadi. It has come just two weeks post Gangubai Kathiawadi which is a huge boost to theatrical business. It also proves that films can still score big from the urban centres alone without support from the B and C centres. This film hardly released in the small centres.

It has also left the Hindi version of Radhe Shyam way behind on Saturday as that film is struggling for any worthwhile growth on Saturday and most circuits will see The Kashmir Files with higher collections. It looks like that The Kashmir Files will do the business of The Tashkent Files in the first weekend itself.

I am curious to know. What rozi roti are you talking about? You mean the people in BW are against the Kashmiri Pandits?

Watching it tomorrow

I liked the movie,not only because it showed the truth of kashmir but also because it was a well made movie like I didn't see the sensationalizing or exploitative use of KPs' genocide as some BW critic accused the movie makers of indulging in.

I don't have words to do justice to Anupam Kher.

To someone who asked how to know if they are telling the truth and it's not propaganda - perhaps search for newspaper articles and victim testimonies on search engines and social media using relevant/correct keywords and hashtags

I knew of Kashmiri exodus(multiple) and genocide,I was aware of so many horrible acts of terrorism that are showed in the movie,yet it was uncomfortable for me to watch.The kind of pseudo secularism that is steeped to the bones in all of us is offended by the truth.
