I read the written update earlier today but watched a few scenes on tv tonight….firstly,..Manishs advice I felt was so foolish….Instead of advising his granddaughter to win her father in law over he wants her to take their son away from their house..like really..isn’t harsh going to dislike her even more now.. as for abhimanyu he’s an obsessed Psycho…he wants akshara at any cost..I think he may even ask manjeri to come and live with him and akshara..so she must choose between her son and husband…I find abhimanyu creepy…in everything..his looks, his voice, his behavior..I initially started off liking him..but now can’t stand him. 🤦🏻‍♀️

yep definitely not a move guaranteed to make Akshara beloved to her in-laws😆

And where was all this concern for Akshara when Manish accepted the rishta for Arohi…

I guess Manjari Mata won’t leave Birla house hence her beta won’t leave it either. Wasn’t he ready to leave the house just a while ago after the mandir showdown? The writers are very inconsistent…

This is what I don't agree with. I totally understand what you are saying. It's just that I don't agree. Marriage can't be a choice in my opinion. If it's not social conditioning, why would anyone get married. Nobody has been able to convince me yet. Please don't take this as a personal attack but I honestly think seeing marriage as a personal choice is women consoling themselves for having to get married.

Like I said, I will get married that is a fact. I am doing it for my family who would prefer it. I am doing it so that I might be more safe. But not for marriage itself.

It is a weird take, no offence, many wanna marry and not just for social conditioning. I wanna get married some day and just for myself. No offence, but this sounds like some personal bias/ negative experience.

No offense taken. It's definitely not a personal bias I can assure you. I went from I will never ever get married to marrying is a personal choice progressive women make knowingly because they want to, to my present belief. Like I said so many times during this conversation, I will get married in a year or two to a guy I am madly in love with. But I am not going to pretend like it's a personal choice. Marriage is an unnecessary oppressive institution the society built to control individuals and especially women. Marriage is not necessary for love to flourish. It provides so many "safeguards" to women making unmarried women horrible about their unmarried status. It is just that most women do not realise they are socially conditioned to "choose" marriage. It is not my personal bias because if it is I wouldn't be ridiculing myself for "choosing" to marry because clearly no one has put a gun to my head and is making me marry. 😅

And none has yet convinced me how it was their "choice" to marry.

Yep. I know some of us are here in this chat club because we have fairly common views about a lot of things. But not necessarily on everything. Dissent and difference of opinion is always healthy. 🥰

Of course.

I wanna get married, someday (still not sure), because for us Christians, marriage or Holy Matrimony is one of the seven sacraments, a gift which not many are bestowed upon and for me, marriage will always be holy because I personally do not believe in having sex before marriage and other such intimacies making it beautiful to share it with your spouse, away from the world.

Who watched today's epsiode? No one? Why is no one commenting on it? Does it mean it was a decent episode? 😅
