Thank you dear, you are wonderful. We don't have anything similar and I'm terribly curious to get to know the traditions. It seems to me that this is very useful and the ceremony itself is wonderful, a pleasant moment and a new connection between spouses and family. Everything is somewhat different here, but we also have our own traditions, for example, giving a dowry before the wedding. These are things that can be useful in married life. In the old days, they began to collect them almost from the birth of a girl, so that on the day of marriage, she had everything she needed. For example, we still have bed linen at home that was given to my mother for the wedding, by the way, it is Indian and quite intact, despite years of service. I admire this cute "gifting" idea and the quality of Indian fabrics

Well dowry has been a part of Indian culture too for a very long time but now people are evolving so not everyone believes in it anymore. Many families and cultures have started to boycott dowry.

My own home has the same furniture given to my mom as her dowry on her wedding, it is some wood that is still intact after 26 yrs of use😬😂

That's right, marriage is about people, not things, property, I'm glad that this is changing in India. With us, dowry is not obligatory for marriage, it is a voluntary thing associated with the desire to help a young family arrange a joint life.

26-year-old furniture, what quality!

As it should be.

I absolutely understand you, I am very angry with people who openly use the position of their companion or companion, create a connection not for the sake of a person, but for the sake of status, money or God knows what else. Everyone has the right to such a choice, but if he is one-sided and the other person does not know that he is not seen as a person, it is terrible.

Exactly! And a relationship based on such intentions never have good endings.

That's for sure, sooner or later the lack of a healthy and honest emotional connection will bring destruction to both and their families.
