I love Pakistan Coke Studio. I always find something wonderful when I want to listen to a new song. I just found this song called Paar Channa De yesterday and I loved it and it's sung by Shilpa Rao in collaboration with Pakistani singers..it's a couple of years old song when it was okay for Indian singers to work with Pakistani singers

Paar Channa de is one of my absolute favorite. I love it to death. I have been obsessed with that song for more than 5 years now. 🥰😍😍😍

It's the story of Sohni Mahiwal. Another tragic love story.

I just hated Mimi and badi mumma standing there and admiring akshu's whining pseudo-bravery.. And the flash back of Naira.. It was an insult..tho I wasn't a naira fan,, now I've become rather possessive about since watching these S3 clowns.

Also Akshu saying Sirat mumma used to do this when she was angry and that calmed her down.. Lekinmujhe nahin ho raha..whine,whine,whine..kyoon hoga? You haven't got that temparament, bewakoof. You should sing to calm yourself..

It's just struck me now.,how did she not get a panic attack when all this happened? Her panic attacks are also just to put Aarohi in a bad light. She's a real twisted character, this Akshu.

Arjun had a privileged upbringing while Karna had to fight for everything since birth.

Oh I love it - it was one of the first ones I heard. I think I read that she was the only Indian singer to be featured on Coke Studio Pakistan. Her voice is so smoky and unusual. it was a great collaboration.

Others I like are by Atullah Eksalvi (I'm sure I'm butchering the spelling) - his voice is really unusual too and I liked the lyrical translations (one is Sab Maya Hai and i'm blanking on the other one but I think it's about Sohni Mahiwal). Also recommend Husn-e-haqiqi (it's mentions mandirs right along with masjids, and Ram along with Allah), Kangna, Khabaram Raseeda and any of the Abida Parveen songs. Really I think all of them are great.
It's amazing I've played them for my American friends, Asian friends, European friends and they are all struck by the purity of the music even if they don't understand the words.

exactly this is all an act with no substance to AKSHU's character

she plays the MAHAAN victim who loves everyone and makes AAROHI look like a villain

AAROHI is the one who is lonely and has to bottle up her emotions until she can't take the hypocrisy any more

i felt so bad when AAROHI was offering chai to MIMI and she was ignoring her 😭
