Looking at the backstory (whatever Shashi was telling) looks like the entire property must have belonged to Ram's mom. Who knows Ram's dad must have killed his wife and got married to Nandini. Looks like he is also manipulated by his dad. Maybe after his wife's death, Ram's dad must have been the caretaker or something. Ram must have been given minimal monthly allowances, hence his meager lifestyle in college.

Ram's friends are naive like Ram. They know both Shashi & Vedika from college days and still cant figure out who is worse. I want to know which college they went to? Will not let any of my close ones study there
