I'm basically done with mine, I just keep them around for casual wear. But I think once the craze for the new fashion wala item runs out, the market for them is going to tank and the demand will go way down. Because there are lots of newer brands that have the same kind of youthful appearance but they are overall more modern in look. No one's going to want an oldfashioned shoe disguised as a new style. I just wish they went back to making the old classic version.

who tries to run a marathon and go climbing with converse sneakers

Exactly. You have got "running shoes" for marathon as running in the name wasn't enough. And there are trekking shoes. They are hard and strong and got amazing grip and are cool to look at too. You don't use them to go to a birthday party or to chill at home. You go on Himalayan treks with those. 🙄

Right! I feel like they're going to turn their trekking shoes into Crocs at the rate at which things are going😕

There's just NO dressing up a Croc - no matter how much superficial bling and marketing you put into them, eventually people just find them uncomfortable and unsightly. There's more resources going into advertising the new sneakers than actually trying to make them more suitable for wear. That's the problem. It's like if they tell people enough times these are the best items ever to come out of their shoe line, then everyone will believe it and ignore just how uncomfortable these new sneakers are. But a large chunk of the market will just go with their own experience and never buy shoes from this line again.

I have never been a crocs person. I see that they are trying conventional designs with it. Like sandals and ballerina shoes and all but I still don't like it. I love my pair of sneakers. I love trekking shoes too but you can't wear it everywhere. But Quechua ones are really good for trekking. It protects you from cold weather, leeches, and slipping while climbing and provides you with good stability. It is such an amazing pair of shoes. I can't see them getting ruined

When you treat trekking shoes like sequinned ballet slippers, what to expect? It's going to be a disaster. Gets a lot of hype and attention but no longevity, no cred in the long term either as a trekking shoe or a ballet slipper.

You will probably fall to your death while on that Himalayan expedition and even your dead body will not be found. 😭
