Re. wrong project - I guess at that time about 1 month before the Finale when they were shooting for the Maruti video, that would have sounded like a good deal - 20 songs in one contract. Here on this forum we always thought it would be "upto 20 songs" but who knows how it was sold to them via Sony.

Underperforming wilfully is always dangerous, considering word of mouth publicity is important in this industry.

If Octopus changes its strategy and tries to sell songs, not masala then it may still be a workable project. You can't sell both. Something always gives in such cases.

But I have little regard for the Octopus team now, and don't expect them to change anything.

Why can't they sell decent videos. Like the Salman_Sneha or Danish's latest! The music will be good if it is properly balanced as a duet. It will sell!

I agree that they don't necessarily need the video protagonists to be the same as the singers. I understand Raj Surani has mentioned that in some interview that he is not pursuing further songs with Arunita because he wants the singers and actors to be the same - but that really isn't an absolute necessity.

He has openly acknowledged that his channels subscriber base has increased about 10X only because of this project - so if he understands that he should then understand also that good business sense lies in getting people to do what they are best at.

But I get a sense that the bridges with Arunita are already burnt and it is extremely unlikely she will be working with them. You have mentioned in the past that probably sinister things have taken place, and I feel that could very well be true. In this industry, the true story never becomes public.

I agree, from the trailer it looks pretty interesting.

The song in this trailer is what PD sang in the show.

PD gets good crowd response in Ghatal as he joins Arunita in the first duet.
