Yes, that’s all part of the problem with this couple. But I don’t think the writer thought it through. I guess, It was just supposed to be a cute romantic scene for her.

I would love to participate in the lovely topic you made but please so write your views about these scenes and how far you believe whether these little details are deliberate attempts to portray realistic characters with all their flaws or mere lapses of a careless writer....what I wonder is if these grey areas of the live story r ere lapses ...y do they keep popping up...

Ok I am not an anti abhira fan...infact I am an ardent follower of the couple and love them to the core BUT there were things that were very uncomfortable to me

Likewise - up till the first tilak mess, I was here for HC and Abhira. Now I'm mainly here for HC and watching whether there will be any survivors from this trainwreck of a story arc.

Firstly I too was blissfully watching the garland scene when to my discomfort I realised that those were the same flowers which were meant for arohi's wedding and to abhimanyu it didn't even register that he was romancing with the flowers of the same weeding that he broke

Next abhi blatantly tells that he would talk to the tent person and ask him to go slow ....the same tents that were for the broken wedding

To be honest, I fast forwarded through a lot of those scenes but you make an excellent point - they are literally building their love on someone else's humiliation which could've been avoided with a little courage and consideration on their part (I won't go into the whole 'does Arohi deserve this or not' thing again...). Abhimanyu truly never did care about Arohi, but it's a little distasteful that Akshara, who created the whole mess out of her so-called love for her sister, also doesn't seem to care.

Thirdly a few epis b4 when harsh asked abhimanyu whether he did all this to make akshara confess and immediately abhimanyu defended his stance that he never loved arohi ..what again struck me is that inspite of negating his father everytime he said something wrong ...abhimanyu actually gave a not so direct answer....in a way NOT really negating the truth of the statement

Agree. You've done some really close reading of these scenes. Picking someone to marry for the sake of his mother was Abhimanyu's 'majboori'. Picking Arohi was absolutely calculated to make Akshara jealous/uncomfortable and get her confess her love out of any means necessary. In that sense, Papa Birla correctly picked up on the fact that Abhimanyu asking Arohi to marry him was purely opportunistic (knowing she would say yes) and manipulative (knowing this would hurt Akshara).

Coming from the same context in today's episode Abhi openly admits that before akshara confessed we kept on yearning to get her love which somewhere again shows what some of the viewers told that inspite of his official commitment to arohi he never even Tried to get over akshara...infact he was rather single minded into her

To be fair, the one thing he was open about was that he wouldn't stop loving Akshara... like ever! But there has been a lot of debate whether the emotional infidelity would also be reflected in the physical infidelity which was hard to watch. I think he never clarified he would continue seeking physical closeness to Akshara and to keep pushing her to confess her own love - thus making the infidelity two-sided. I think if he had, Manish and others would not have agreed to the rishta - but many here think that was implied. To each their own.

Finally he is completely in his own world where all he talks about ...thinks about and acts about is only akshara ...which makes the whole scenario a little uncanny and their whole romance a little grey in shade

That's one of the things he and Arohi share in common -they're both self-centered and unself-aware when it comes to what they want. In that sense, both have disregarded Akshara's needs, wants and concerns in favor of their own. Abhimanyu is only now trying to find the context and background behind Akshara's denial after blowing up the already fragile family dynamic between the two sisters.

Exactly they could have shown them both having a conversation with aarohi in private before all the lovey dovey OTT scenes at the mandir and on aarohi’s wedding decor which look pretty tasteless

How could they? One was shown busy hiding under covers crying and calling for his MAA, the other was shown busy smiling with gritted teeth and enabling Arohi's every step.

See, I don't want to get into this argument over and over again because it is honestly becoming redundant. I don't have undying loyalty to any of these characters. I have criticised Aarohi in so many posts. Nobody said Aarohi is the perfect amazing young person out there. At least she is true to her character. This topic is not even about Aarohi. It is about Abhimanyu and Akshara and what they have done. Because irrespective of what Aarohi has done Abhimanyu and Akshara are also wrong and insensitive. Akshara keeps claiming to love Aarohi but every single action of hers since running away with Aarohi's groom on her wedding day to romancing him on the left over decor is insensitive. Abhimanyu has always been arrogant. Everyone in his home has to tip toe around him as if he is a ticking bomb that can go off any time and not a sensitive and controlled doctor. He is also self righteous and acts like he is freaking right all the time. Every single word he used against Aarohi after he broke off the wedding has been horrible, especially when he is also selfish. And Akshara stood there let him insult her sister, literally after breaking her sister's wedding. I might not sing songs of love for my sibling but I won't let anyone else treat my sibling the way Abhimanyu treated her, no matter whether he is my "true love" or not.

Every single time someone points out they can't enjoy the romance between a couple as they are so tainted because of the insensitivity by the leads, it is about what the leads are doing. Aarohi's mistakes doesn't lessen the effect of AbhiRa's mistakes. Especially when they are the leads.

PS: I am so tired. As you suggested, I am.onky going to write posts praising Abhimanyu now @Intoxicator

Thank you so much for tagging others...I absolutely agree with you ....the entire jija Sali track made the love story quite a bit of a discomfort...I understand that they are newly in this mode but the whole past makes it a little uncomfortable to watch...especially abhimanyus character is was and I believe will remain grey....I like grey personalities but somewhere the portrayal of a grey character as an ideal hero is what makes me cringe a little...I also feel now akshara is so much smitten by this intense love of abhimanyu that she and her senses are almost blinded by it...please tell what you feel about abhis influence on akshara
