I have been to some of these type of shows in semi-urban Bengal. Mayhem is the rule. This one was completely well managed in contrast with some stuff I have been through. Bengal rural crowds are completely unmanageable and can even stop a show if they don't like what is going on. There is a night-time restriction in place - which means that open-air shows cannot go on beyond 11pm. Otherwise it is difficult to close these nights, especially if the music is good or the spirits are high.

Yes, there were plenty of hiccups, but it never seemed out of control. That is always a fear.
PD has tons of experience so no issues for him. Arunita actually handled herself very well and that really helped.

Overall I got the feel that the singers were enjoying themselves.

From all previous concerts - it was like, its a school function for you, where teachers tell you what to do, where to stand and how to behave on the stage - and you are 'little' stiff.

Last night - when you are your own boss, nobody to mind you - and so you are having real fun doing whatever you are doing on the stage - in the process audience also has great time.

By the way I forgot to mention Parbo Na. I hadn't heard that song before last night and I looked it up now. That seemed to be another one that took Arunita by surprise.

I looked up the lyrics of this one. A folk song, I see, and quite a wonderful one. Also found what seems to be Arijit's version and Lopamudra Mitra's version. It seems Arunita's version is closer to Lopamudra Mitra's.

Also found Hawar upor chole gari 😄. Looks like it is a fun song on the tune of the folk song. Pawandeep must have heard it before if he was able to see that the tune was the same and introduce it here to everyone's surprise and amusement. The crowd evidently liked it too.

As per reports there is a solo concert for Arunita coming up in Jaipur on 4th Feb. That will be good for her professional growth.
